🔴🔵🟡🟢⚫️ Who are you voting for ?

I honestly think Farage's next campaign will be for PR - and I hope it's successful.

Not as futile as not voting at all.

A turnout of less than 60% is terrible. The 40% should be ashamed.

It's only stating the obvious, I'm relatively politically neutral but the last 14 years have given us the worst government and two of the worst prime minsiters in history. They managed to keep being untrustworthy, corrupt and imcompetent up to the very last moment. That's one hell of a record.

I'd go as far as saying "or the term afterwards" too. It'll take a generation.

An excellent night for the Greens and Plaid too.

The next few years are going to be interesting. Not least because Labour cannot get anywhere near repairing the damage the Tories have overseen in that time and will be criticized for it.

What direction will the Tories go in under a new leader?

It's a good result for reform, no question.

But they'll now come under far more, and necessary, scrutiny.

Let's see how they fare over the next few years in parliament. There may end up being a few more like him.

He's arrogant. I'm not a fan but he really puts the right wing establishment to the sword. Not many people do that.

He's a good journalist/interviewer though.

Every business should give you the opportunity to use a card to pay if you want to.

Don't think I've ever seen a nail bar, car wash or barbers that does. All are cash only.

The last sentence is in Labours manifesto.

Just look back at an interview between Farage and James o Brien.

Here's an example but there are plenty more.

Farage isn't interviewed by him anymore.

I've as much of a problem with the policies as the man, they're pie in the sky nonsense.

It'll have more of a bearing on the Senedd if we have a labour Westminster government. That's the point.

The point is Farage is a liar. Out and out.

He's as much the establishment as anyone else but claims not to be.

He knows his policies are unworkable but claims they're "contract".

And this isn't a Senedd election. It'll have no baring on those in Cardiff, unless Labour win and then I think Starmer can influence the Senedd away from Drakefords Labour.

Starmers Labour and Drakefords Labour are polls apart.

So a privately educated, ex banker, millionaire who banks with coutts isn't one of Britain's elites?

Ironically this could be good for British politics.

I can see Farage beginning a potentially successful campaign for proportional representation when Reform get a lot of votes but few seats. That isn't fair, but a reflection of first past the post.

I don't think they'll get as many as some people think becasue the people who make the most noise on social media are usually the ones who don't / won't vote. They will get a good percentage though but that won't be reflected in seats won.

He could actually be useful yet.

I'm going for two. Ashfield and Clacton.

That means people actually voting for Lee Anderson. But for some insane reason I think they will.

Farage in Clacton will be a landslide.

I thought they started brilliantly. I've had enough now and they've gone a bit weird.

Glastonbury is the greatest place on Earth though. Hands down amazing in every way.

Biden v Trump

It's actually made me wonder if Biden will make the election in November or if the Democrats move him aside. I honestly don't understand how anyone can vote for either of them.

But it is a very easy country to get employment either legally or illegally.

You don't see the proliferation of cash only accepting car wash, take aways and barbers elsewhere in Europe. We're overrun with Uber drivers and delivery cyclists too. All these are easy to work for in the grey labour market.

Before you consider out right illegal "work".

Most migrants aren't here for benefits.

You didn't strike me as a Labour voter.

But it sounds like a better plan than relying on France to protect their thousand mile (plus) border and then gladly take back anyone who manages to leave.

There is no chance whatsoever of stopping migrants getting in to France. The border is very long and over many countries.

It's ok though Reform have said they'll just turn the boats back to France. That can't work even now, under Macron.

On LBC this morning when pushed my Nick Ferrari on the fact that France won't take them, the Reform deputy leaders solution was "we'll have it out with the French". Genuinely, his exact words.

How do our Reform voters think that'll go, now and with a Le Pen government?

If more people had voted in the Senedd election we probably wouldn't have the 20mph speed limit.

There's obviously something worth voting for it's deciding who runs our lives.

No but we can't control who has children.

I object to voting at sixteen too, as I object to children joining a force of war or getting married for exactly the same reasons.

Even a benefit claimant makes a contribution to their future, even via their benefits.

I'm happy with 18 across the board.
