Grandad Jim,from Stepney, came to see us yesterday,so we thought we’d take him out for a Curry,I love a good Ruby, says Grandad, anyway, there all are reminiscing about the good old days, when talk turns to Grandads favourite music, when just at that point, the waiter turns to Grandad and asks “Do you like Channa Dall” Grandad says”Don’t like no Bowie songs son” |

Talking to a Bath fan,he was very impressed with the set up at Slough, prices of food and drink, atmosphere, friendly and welcoming home fans. He was a Bristol Rovers fan,so we had a good chat about Ollie and The Rs,very complimentary about Rangers as well. |

Medical emergency in the crowd, apparently the fella is ok,which is the main thing, but really pissed off coz apparently the Bath manager got it called off, because of his players well fair, because of the delay they could damage their hamstrings…..🤔 But being 4 - 2 down I suppose he played his get out of jail card. |

Kinda related to the Non League thread,Slough Town come out to Insomnia by Faithless, bit of an odd one. |

Millwall,1982 as you say…carnage on and off the pitch, fighting before and during the game and after the match a full on riot Millwall had 2 sent off,Dean Neal was the first one,Slough had one sent off. Slough scored the winner in the 88th minute, cue pitch invasion and Slough fans running away through surrounding fields. On a side note,Millwall had a local Slough boy playing for them,Dean Horrix, who I went to school with, tragically he was killed in a car accident years later when he was at Bristol City. |

Good game against Weston a few weeks back,Slough got a 2 -0,Weston were unlucky and hit the bar twice, crowd of 900+. Playing Yeovil in a couple of weeks, they are bringing 600+ fans, brilliant support. I don’t mind paying the £15 admission,so long as it gets put back into the club, which I believe is happening at Slough, because the squad is getting better, even when we have lost 2 or 3 of our better players, they are replaced with like for like ,this never happened in the past, there is a lot of good things going on for the community, fund raising for the homeless, hospices, food banks etc.. so at the moment all is good for the Rebels |

Another Rebel here, been going since the 70’s,at the dog track, then Wexham park, couldn’t bring myself to watch them at Windsor or Beaconsfield, but now they’re back in Slough at Arbour Park, got a good setup at the moment, and yes…let’s hope we sneak a play off place. |
