Eze

Eze is utter class and cannot believe he has not been snapped up by one of the big boys. They keep gambling on mediocre foreign players when one of the best English players in the league is right under their noses. Bonkers.

Away form?
at 21:20 22 Feb 2025

He has ability, but had a stinker today. Still not fully attuned to the mixed nature of the demands of this league. Utter hoofball garbage from Pompey today, mixed with aggression and a febrile atmosphere.

They knew we have a soft underbelly and nullified our playmakers accordingly. Varane will have to get used to it or he will soon lose his place in the side. In hindsight, that was a game more suited to Colback.

The line up should be reflective of the opposition. Poor Koki got battered from the off. Colback should have started and maybe Chair replaced with AL.

You have to at least attempt to match the opposition, especially away from home.

Taste of their own medicine from Lloyd. Didn’t like it did they.

Horrible team, horrible football. Would take Murphy over our strikers all day long however.

The ball has spent most of the time in the air, league 2 football.

Our forward line has got stiff necks watching this shit. Get it on the deck and we might get somewhere.

They’ve done a number on us. High press, direct balls and just wait for us to make mistakes, which we duly obliged with. Charity park Rangers returns.

My thoughts exactly.
They’re long ball merchants and that’s all we are doing. Frey has been pony and needs subbing having picked up a yellow.

I’m 60 and would wup Celar and Frey in a 100 mt dash, with both legs tied together.

Neither of them can run for toffee.

Celar well down the pecking order now.

I thought Varane had a bit of a stinker in that half. Not showing for the ball when Cook or Edward’s had it and lots of stray passes. Picked up a bit in the last 10.

Said it before and will again…..form is temporary, but class is permanent.

Chair has always been class and will come good again. Patience for gods sake.

Best delivery from corners………..Madsen. Can we bring him on just to take corners….NFL style?

We need to find a way to overcome the other bunch of “bigger boys” over at the Den next weekend.

We still lack some strength and Physicality in this side and need a game plan that allows us to play to our strengths, otherwise, another mauling is likely.

Fantastic news. Just needs to find a bit of form and consistency to help maintain our ongoing momentum. QPR through and through.

A mist opportunity as Foxes hit QPR for six – Report
at 20:29 13 Jan 2025

Expected, but yet to be fulfilled.

For me he spends too much time defending, which is not what he is good at or, I suspect, why we brought him in.

Unless we can find a way to get him up the pitch and use his supposed dribbling abilities in and around the box, he too is contributing very little along with Madsen. Both need to be sidelined until such time it becomes apparent that both or either one are capable of making a genuine contribution to the team.

The newbies are half way through the season now and the gulf between those that are making a fist of it and those that aren’t, is starting to emerge. How long Marti is prepared to persevere with some of them remains to be seen.

Do despair at Ashby’s decision making at times, but is this just a lack of experience or is he just a bit thick?

How many professional competitive games has this lad actually played?

Didn’t see the game, but for me he has been improving of late. Very prone to making mistakes but always more likely to cost us against Premier League players.

Physically capable, but at 23, looks naive and lacking in experience.

Don’t get the billy big bollox talk, he has contributed to our upturn and has looked fully committed to the cause, joining the celebrations of victory along the way.

Clearly behind in his development, so needs to push on quickly if he wants a decent career in the game.
