It's so hard to fathom how players who have made it to the 2nd tier of professional football are so bad at giving, receiving and retaining a football. |

"Recruitments from Palace, we were baffled to start You built round young Adel and he tore the league apart Now I know we'll never play with 8 defenders again" |

He's a good lad and his commitment, attitude and work ethic seem top notch and give us some things we need from the striker in an away game in our current Limited Football guise. But I don't think anyone is going to be offering us seven figure sums for him like Armstrong. As others have said his technique isn't great and once he starts dribbling it is mostly very Heads Down until tackled or stumbling in to defenders. I like him but I can't see him staying at this level. |

Isn't it weird winning a game and feeling comfortable, safe even. I genuinely thought with 5 mins left against Norwich we could still blow it. Not today. [Post edited 11 Dec 21:26]

What a bizarre watch that was. Genuinely looked like a League 2 relegation battle. We really can't play any football without certain players in the team. Have to mention Marti in all this as no matter how poor some of the players may be technically we are still attempting the same, admittedly barely discernible, patterns of moving the ball forward as we have most of the season. It is hard to see what he has attempted to do to alter that. Still allowing players to regularly turn the ball all the way back to the CB's and Nardi who are then forced to eventually just pump it back up the field in the hope of winning a header where we had the ball in the first place. Today is even worse than that as we are rarely keeping it long enough to get it back to Nardi! Catching teams with a high press or a set piece aimed at Jimmy Dunne's head are consistently our best chance. Now that we are playing a team as bad as us with the ball we look really hopeless. Really hope he gets proactive at half time. If he were fit enough (he isnt) I would play Chair in the 8, let him Barry Bannan around the place and give us a chance of keeping the ball for more than 4 seconds. We don't need Varane and Field today. |

It would be a strange look for the UK to pretend to 'oppose' Saudi Arabia when it supplies them with billions of pounds worth of armaments. "Sure, you can have all the tanks, fighter planes, guns and bombs you can afford but we simply insist you don't host a football tournament"!! |

Not now bruv, give us these 3 days at least! Unfortunately there may be be plenty of opportunity for such musings in the weeks/months to come. Clive, you're a genius. I genuinely can't fathom how you produce such work two or even four times a week. The way in which you capture the joy, hope, anger, ecstasy, depression, anticipation, heart break, defeat, confusion, delight and most importantly the love of being a QPR fan is absolutely brilliant. Add to that your very artful and extremely moving weaving in of your own history and stories takes it all to another level. Best football writing on the planet. Thank you. [Post edited 29 Nov 9:06]

MOM has to go to Celar obviously his night and Nardi was brilliant but have to give a big shout out to Saito. Fantastic feet, always looking for the ball, drove us forward and works very hard defensively. All with a permanent massive smile on his face. Love him. |
