I'm sure a post of this nature has been done before.

But as QPR fans we more or less have roots to West London and its suburbs.

Which Schools did you all go to? Fond memories etc or the contrary?.

I went Douay Martyrs in Ickenham, had no other choice due to moving to the area.... not a fan of the school but the time of my teen hood was okay and I had a laugh.

Interested to hear bout everyone else's schools.

Langley Grammar School alumni: woe betide you if your blazer wasn’t exactly the right shade of green.

John Perryn primary until 1980. Hard to think.of anyone who was into football and not supporting Rangers. Very few if any.
Then Burlington Danes from 80 to 85. Pretty much the same really, though a few more supported other clubs. Not many Chelsea at all surprisingly.
School used to get occasional free/cheap tickets in the Upper School end in the early 80's which helped cement a few lifetime supporters, 2 that still sit with me went for the first time on those tickets.

I went to St Francis of Assisi infants, which was a mixed school, then the junior school which was just boys.

Secondary school was Cardinal Manning in St Charles Square.

Brakenhale comprehensive in Bracknell, didn’t have a uniform which automatically made us the hardest school in the town!

My kids went there. Had a reputation, but by the time my kids went, it had calmed down considerably. They had a uniform.
Its all been done up now Loftboy, you wouldnt recognise the place.

Occasional providers of half decent House music.

Still got friends and family in Bracknell, visit every couple of months, it’s a lot smaller than it used to be, in the 70’s it took over the next door primary school which moved to pond Moor Road, I see the old part is now housing!

Went to Christopher Wren, in the late 50's and early 60's. One of the Wrens old boys, designed, the South Africa Road Stand.

Chamberlayne Road infants, Kensal Rise
Harvist Road boys juniors, Kensal Rise
Salusbury Road junior high, Queens Park - just a two year school then and it was brilliant
Copeland secondary, Wembley. Awful. Just awful.

Chamberlayne Road. I think I’ve mentioned this before, David. My family lived on Kempe Road, the last house that abutted the school playground; we used to bunk in to play tennis against my aunties big house wall.

Good times.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Kemp road runs along side Kensal Rise junior boys/girls school not Chamberlayne Road mate.
Forgot to mention Harvist Road infants on the ground floor.

Yes, I remember you mentioning that Mick. Chamberlayne Road infants was further up the road going towards Willesden. So as perpignanR said, it would have been Harvist Road juniors, which was on the junction with Chamberlayne road, that you're referring to.

That’s called Ark Franklin these days and seen as the school all the new loaded transplants to Queens Park fight to get into.

Amazing how the whole area has changed

My kids are about to head off to QPCS, alma mater of Ozzy Kakay. Anyone go there?

St Vincents off Marylebone High Street, then family moved and we relocated to Wandsworth. Being from a family of hardline kneebenders, I moved to Holy Cross in Ashington Road. Secondary was Cardinal Vaughan in Addison Road. Then off to universities and the great wide world outside of the Bush. I occasionally say hello to another exile from Cardinal Vaughan... one Kevin Gallen ...as he lives near where I do in St Albans.

BWI in Ruislip and then Bishop Ramsey C Of E in Ruislip, possibly the worst school uniform (cream and brown) in the UK and being a QPR fan didn’t lead to happy childhood in a street full of Chelsea fans.

I briefly ended up at Bishop Ramsey in my 6th form, but before that was at Southbourne just a short jog away from you. It was a totally mad school I think where the local authority tended to put those expelled from elsewhere. Shut down halfway through my A levels hence ending up at the rival school for second year of A levels for a couple of subjects. Did not go well....

Never knowingly understood
