What the table doesn't show of course, is the timing of those errors. In our case I suspect the extra 3 points could be attributed to the Leicester game. If so, a win that day could have had a knock on effect, gaining us more points after. I doubt we would be out of the bottom three but it could have made a heck of a difference to the end of season tally.
