It will be a shame for us if he goes...or more likely when he goes.
He has grown as a player.
As the article says its all about the money and given the situation re wage structure here I fancy we are stymied. Again as the article says unlike Cabango Darling has no emotional ties to the club and has been at a few others previously.
Players move clubs but what's annoying is how the club has allowed his contract to rum down and we will probably end up losing him for nothing.

whilst agreeing with you to a point we are desperate for reinforcements to "spread the load"for me the way to get fans back on board is to show ambition, get Mr Darling tied down and for me make him team captain Grimes could still be club captain show the public mr chairman we have a project to go forwards and upwards, not let one of our best defenders go for nothing to a club like brum, or leeds among others, let Tjoe a on go , for me a terrible buy if we do not show ambition there is no doubt in my humble opinion Joe public will continue to walk and stay away thats not good for anyone, we unfortunatly must stop shopping in aldy but pay a bit more in marks and spencer so the public can see the club are trying to improve and players want to be a part of it it takes money unfortunatly and the new owners must realise this or we will have swapped 1 set of usa owners for another of simular ambition | | | |

I agree with Vetch to be honest.
I'd love to see Darling signed up, he's our best defender & will be very difficult to replace but we can't afford to throw stupid wages at him.
The previous owners blew it regarding his contract unfortunately.

Quite liked him with what little we saw of Obegeta, Pedersen always injured, Tjoe-A-On still in our match day squad and Tymon tireless work rate, puts in some nice crosses, really needs to workout his first touch to bring balls under control and until he sorts out his positioning when marking his defensive will always be targeted that is not strictly down to him but down to the marking by the team in general alongside him usually leaves an opposition player spare meaning he sometimes has two players to mark | | | |
