The administrators won't talk to Mike Ashley because he won't pay their fees (running into the millions). Utter madness. I actually think they might be finished
Amazing. I really feel for their fans and the staff. This is why we need to stay clear of American business people. Talk forever, do nothing. Obviously not all of them but, yes, pretty much all of them.

Just shows even if you get crowds of 20k plus you can still be on the brink of going out of business if you have the owners make wrong decisions appears that this has now caught up with the club. Feel for the fans. Thankfully we as a club are being run well and living within our means.

It's been a farce for a long time now, and probably won't be sorted out until the year 2047 when the 821st final deadline day has been and gone and sailed off into the sunset.
Preferred bidder my bottom.

At the moment they have FIVE players in contract. No keeper, no defenders. They can't sign anybody until ownership is settled. And, any they do sign will be restricted wages

.... and if they do exit admin, how embarrassing would it be when they take on Forest's mantle and "steal" all our perspective signings?
Looks increasingly likely that Ashley will pitch in with a last minute, cut price deal now that Kirchner does not have exclusivity with the administrators.

What I don't understand is why the administrators ran with Kirchner for so long, the minute I heard he was mainly in Crypto I thought it seemed he wasn't a likely source.
As ridiculous as it sounds if his worth was £150m that doesn't really cut it given the costs Derby have accrued.
The administrators won't be cheap either when presenting their bill.
I wonder if Morris still lives in Derbyshire?
Not sure I would if I was him...

I suspect they gave him a chance as he possibly gave them some money for exclusive purchase rights.
That money they needed to pay wages up until now. Then he probably thought he could bargain everyone down. Not realising that Morris owns the ground and everything else is just pure debt. There are not really any player assets as they only have 5 players and some youth (which as we know you get peanuts for at tribunals).
Once Kirch discovered that and with crypto failing all over the place, he was done. He did get some expensive publicity out of it though and Derby got to run around for a whole season while Wycombe had to redo League One and a playoff, but this time not be promoted. Also, Reading avoided relegation too so, that was useful for them.
Essentially Derby fans got to see their club in the Champ one more season than should have been allowed and everyone else got screwed.

Kirchner estimated worth 150 million much of it in crypto so pretty worthless but I guess he enjoyed his moment in the limelight
I misheard his net worth it’s 50 million much in crypto currency
His main business in the states he hasn’t paid staff salaries so a bit like that bloke who was going to buy Man Utd and had a kick bout on the pitch pre match
