Friendlies 09:21 - Jun 8 with 4574 viewsflynnbo

Has anybody else heard of a few friendlies we're supposed to be playing? There is the Norwich game but I've also heard Chelsea and West Ham.

Just found a link below. There was also another link called "Absolute Chel****" but I didn't want to post it in case anyone got a virus!

Travel to the games on their own while wearing their kits.

This begs the questions:

Whose turn is it to clean the kit?
Whose in charge of valuables?
How much are subs this week?

it's funny this, but the reality is it's not that long ago players washed their own kit. last 30 years for sure. Lee McCulloch moans in his book about having to do it at Wigan.

Bare bones.

He might have had to do it at Wigan, but I played for thirty years starting in 1967 & didn't have to do it once!

Perhaps the clubs I played for were better organised & more efficient!

Rubbish, professional clubs & players washing their own kit - just doesnt happen and I do not believe the Wigan player. I played in the 70's and the kit was washed by the club.

Next thing will be that they clean their own boots - only if they wanted to. Apprentive Professionals, which is what young 16/17/18 years olds were called back in the day, cleaned the entire squads boots, no college work & schooling, just cleaning stuff and playing SE counties football.

" Club coaching staff will referee the matches" - Good luck with THAT! plus about 20 other 'smileys' that will apply!

We lost 4-1 against West Ham in the London Stadium, Ilias Chair scoring our goal.

They played 45 minutes, then 20 followed by another 20 minutes ??!!!!

You would have hoped they'd be better than that against a lower mid table PL team.

QPR used 23 players, it is obviously just a training game. What next? Warburton out!

The grass is always greener.

I think a lot of clubs made players do it as a discipline thing.

Bare bones.
