You know you are getting old Mick when you remember seeing daft punk dj at turnmills in 1995 and saw them perform at the astoria to about 50 people in early 1996.

I know what you mean, Disco. I know it's a very different genre, but I remember seeing Porcupine Tree playing to a tiny audience in the function room of a pub in Windsor. Fast forward a few years and the readers of rock music magazines are voting them their favourite band bar none and Robert Fripp is guesting on their albums. All in the time that it took for my barnet to go from a few rogue grey hairs to "Who is that old bloke over there?"
