I know it's the Sun, but... 01:53 - Oct 15 with 21935 viewsloftinoz

Any truth in this?
Portsmouth's Kenny Jackett has emerged as a strong contender to take over at QPR
Don't know how to post a link properly, sorry.

No Jackett required?

Crazy to change the manager now unless you think Kenny has a Charlie Austin in his jacket.

I love Ollie. He is a character but I am not sure he really is that great these days. However, despite the results we are a much better team this year and with a bit more concentration up front we could be sitting around the play offs now. We also don't know what Ollie is dealing with in terms of any news around FFP and that decision so I am guessing he is managing with his hands tied behind his back. We don't know. I like Jackett, always have. He'd do okay here but it does seem a bit premature to be thinking of ousting Ollie. Huge injury issues at the back, a much better midfield and a forward line struggling to fire and under powered. Ollie isn't exactly having the kind of facilities that Pep is having at Man City!

Never knowingly right.

Be good as an assistant. Sacking Ollie now would be unfair and a bit premature even for us. Then again it is coming up to November..

Would be very QPR. Warnock apart, who's a freak of nature in his ability to get teams going, all the other teams in the top six have unknown or little known managers, many from abroad, with a good pedigree, all on the up with something to prove. We have a caveman approach where we go back to someone we 'put on gardening leave' years ago with a record at best described as 'mixed', who was working as a pundit. Night and day. If we were to replace Holloway I wouldn't be at all surprised if we appoint someone like Jacket.

I am not, by the way, advocating changing the manager. Every time we do we make the wrong appointment, so what would be the point?

Has he? Must be close between them in terms of games played.

Holloway every time. We've got to stop this November cull. It makes us look like cunce.

Can´t see KJ doing any better with our squad than IH.

Probably do a worse job, considering our financial predicament and injury situation, IH is doing OK.

"strong contender to take over at QPR"??

Excuse me but I didn't realise there was a vacancy.

It would be the end for me now if Ollie were to be sacked, the absolute end and that's all there is to it.

Good and he should get the full season as well, pointless changing managers again, we have a mid table squad playing like a mid table team. I think we've been good to watch this season, results could be better but are not bad, we've been in every game we've played and have a team that even in defeat are giving everything, i really don't understand why we would want to change again

Hopefully just the sun being the sun, but it would be right on time for us.

The Yeni/Burton selection and Brentford cup games apart I think Holloway's doing alright and I'm not even much of a fan of his. Much better to watch this season.

Not sure Jackett is the answer, to be honest..
But after Brentford away in the league last season and the manner in which we lost that game, and Brentford at home in the league cup, and the appalling manner in which we lost that one, and made worse still by Holloway's couldn't care less attitude, I'm not, nor ever will be, his biggest fan.
If and when he does go, I for one will not be shedding any tears for him.

If it does happen again, my dwindling interest may well become terminal sadly.

I cannot go another round of the moaning, unrealistic idiots getting their way yet again, as the club punches itself in the face one more time.

Not sure I've ever heard of Holloway being described as having a "couldn't care less attitude".

Taking a tonking in the League cup (even to Brentford) isn't a sackable offence. Taking repeated beatings and playing shIt is. The football is way more entertaining under Holloway and I don't think we have lost 2 consecutive league games this season.

QPR are lacking a decent striker or 2, and if we had them, this team we've got wouldn't be bad at all.

JFH was sacked after our 1-1 draw with Forest on 5th Nov when we were on 20 points after 16 games.
On 4th Nov we will play our 16th game of this season, once again against Forest, and we will most likely be on 18-20 points...

But as said, standing still in a league is actually an achievement if you're trying to cut your wage bill as dramatically as we are.

Agreed. I just hope the powers that be see it that way.
