That is tragic news indeed. Whether you like his music or not, the man was an utter genius and completely original. I was priviliged enough to last see him the year before last at the Roundhouse and it was one of the best gigs i have ever been too.

RIP.
Would have loved to have seen that gig BC. Saw him at the O2 when he last did a big tour and it was easily the best concert I've ever been to.
Fck sakes. This is worse the Bowie going for me. The wife and I had Raspberry Beret as the follow on song at our Wedding dance. We had promised ourselves tickets next time he was in town.
I really liked him - I saw him at one of that series of O2 gigs which Jacko was going to emulate years later, and now they're both gone. He was a brilliant showman as well as a great musician and writer. Not much of his stuff is on the web, as he wouldn't allow it. Maybe that will change now. RIP Prince.
From the initial thought of "That's a bit good" on first hearing I wanna be your lover through the real, genuine genius (and nuttiness) that followed I was always a fan.
