I agree... if we make an offer they'll be powerless... worst case he'll do a Morgan Schneiderlin... Neil Lennon admitted they couldn't compete when Ki signed... they can't pay him as much and the best they can offer him is pub football.

I don't get why so many on here slate Chico. Admittedly he's an...eccentric...fellow at times, but for the level of our club, who and what we can afford, Chico is a very good defender. He's not perfect, he makes mistakes, but no more than any other of our defenders. For £2m he was an absolute steal and I think we would struggle to replace him without spending at least three times that amount. I'd be sad to see him go and I'd be worried about replacing him with a guy whose only experience is in the Dutch and Scottish leagues, and only three seasons at that. |  |

Pozuelo and Canas are bit part players.

At the end of his first season I thought that Chico had been just as big a scoop as Michu. Except for the red Card incident, he did very well for his first season in the PL.
Our frontline looks good, but we can't afford to loose anymore first team players at the back.
I could think of other fringe players that are somehow still lingering in the Club. send them on their merry way, and use the Money for:
- the future Rangel replacement.
I still feel that Cañas did ok when Britton need a break/injury. But it seems that he is out. Ki and Chico could fill in and maybe take over if needed. Of our CBs Chico is by far the best to move the ball forward. | | | |

Well if Chico is off as well, I can only assume we must have somebody lined up to come in. Mayby theres something in the Geoff Cameron rumour, he would be handy because he can play Centre half, right back or defensive midfield. |  |
