Main Injury Concerns Train Ahead Of Trip To Wolves Thursday, 19th Nov 2020 08:16 Saints supporters will have been pleased to see that the 3 key injury concerns ahead of the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers all trained normally on Wednesday, so look set to be ready for a vital game. The club's official website published pictures of the days training at Staplewood on Wednesday evening and it was good to note that three of the players on the injury list appeared to be able to train normally with no issues. James Ward Prowse who was forced out of the England squad with a hamstring issue was pictured taking part in sprint drills as well as small sided games and looked comfortable. Theo Walcott who damaged his hand in the win over Newcastle was pictured in the session with his hand strapped up, but appeared to be able to take a full part in the sessions including the sprint drills and small sided games involving physical contact. Likewise Ryan Bertrand, he is perhaps the biggest worry in terms of replacements if he is unable to play, but he too appeared to be handling the full session with ease, it looked like he came off at Villa before he did any serious damage to his hamstring and that is always a good thing when it comes to a quick recovery. It will have been 3 weeks between coming off at Villa and the Wolves game and seeing that he is able to train fully 5 days before that game is good news.
Ralph Hasenhuttl will now wait with trepidation for those returning from International duty, although he wil have been pleased to have seen Stuart Armstrong return early after suspension due to a yellow card for Scotland.
