Coleman confirmed for Dale Tuesday, 24th Jan 2012 05:50 by Col
In a late night announcement, it has been confirmed that everything has been agreed between Dale and Accy, and John Coleman will be unveiled to the press as the new Rochdale manager on Tuesday afternoon.
With both terms and compensation agreed, it can now be confirmed that John Coleman will be the new manager of Rochdale Football Club with a press conference in place for 2pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The now former Accrington man comes to Spotland after a thirteen year spell at the Crown Ground in which he became the third longest serving manager in the country, only behind Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger, picking up a string of promotions along the way as he lead Stanley from the Northern Premier League to the Football League.
It is expected that he will bring long term assistant Jimmy Bell with him to Spotland as he looks to battle Dale away from the bottom end of the division.

Couldn't agree more Phil - the football has been crap........................ Hopefully JC will have money to spend as we need at least ; goalie.full back and a big striker but all on proper deals not loans. We need to get back to being a TEAM and you don't do that with loan signings. Methinks that JC has really been hired with next season in mind and a rapid return to lg 1

Geraldo, you have witnessed crap as I have for heart wrenching years. I remember fondly the team of Harker, Smith, Ryder, Leech, Parry, Ashworth, Whitehead, Rudd,Jenkins,Butler..Names engraved in my memory because they were ever present week in week out. I have faint hopes as you will have about next season. Though we have to believe that Mr Coleman will deliver, you know, I have a feeling....!

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Bury Polls |
