Why is he an upgrade on Martin?
Martin won a game with these players this season.

The difference is they had one of the top 3 strikers in the PL in Isak playing who scored twice and we had Onuachu who didn't have a single shot on or off target all game.
Throw in their midfield of Guimarães, Joelinton and the magnificent Tonali and we got away with only conceding 3.
Ugochukwu, Aribo and Fernandes were chasing shadows.
Manning and KWP didn’t know whether to bomb on or stay back and left us at times wide open on the wings.
Time for a back four Ivan?
Newcastle took their foot off the gas, luckily, after the third goal.
Conserving energy.
Ramsdale and the improving with each game Fernandes aside we are a Championship team competing in the Premier League.
The sorry thing is Leicester and Ipswich are still in touching distance of safety, we are 11 points off overtaking Wolves.
Ipswich next Saturday will be interesting. |

No moaning when a dodgy VAR call goes for us though!
Brentford’s disallowed goal.
Forest disallowed goal after Ramsdale spilt the ball into his goal.
Both were mistakes and perfectly fine goals.
Don’t forget Southampton and the rest of the PL teams decided not to vote with Wolves to get rid of VAR so there can be no moaning. |

We need a manager for the long run.
Not someone who can go at the end of the season if he wants.
Steve Cooper or Danny Rohl fit the bill.
Cooper who has experience of the top 2 leagues and has something to prove.
Danny Rohl again, experienced and up and coming who must want out of Sheff Wed.
But I don’t trust Sport Republic one bit.
They have ruined this club |

No point changing the manager for someone no better.
In hindsight we may as well of stuck with Hasenhüttl instead of Jones and saved the club millions.
The Juric appointment sums up Sport Republic.

Newcastle will have way too much for us.
Their midfield of Guimarães, Joelinton and Tonali will boss the midfield.
Hall and Livramento are quality full backs.
Antony Gordon is a class act.
Pantomime villain Murphy will get stick and is guaranteed to score.
And Isak up front. Goals galore.
It will be a long afternoon for you Saints fans at St Mary’s.
I hope the weather is kind.

Well said that man.
Let’s go even better and drop down to League 1.
With the logic of the lower we go the more we’ll win.
Fulham, Forest, Brentford, Bournemouth, Palace and indeed Leicester and Ipswich (they have a chance of survival) are clubs the same size or smaller than us and they seem to be enjoying life at the moment!!
We have to ask questions of why we are not even competing at this level as Leicester and Ipswich our fellow promoted sides are?
We can’t keep blaming Russell Martin forever.
The fault lies with the owners expecting Championship players to keep the club in The Premier League. |
