He is in my favourite film, True Romance, where he 100% did not play Elvis no matter what the Graceland lawyers try to say

"Five different managers looked at him and decided he wasn't the answer to our chronic goalscoring problem."

He's only 23 though mate

One of the best bits of management Dyche ever did was putting him on a leash with a year contract so he actually played defensive midfield with the carrot of prem football, then immediately binned him when they went up

You could tell a lot of money had been spent on it, the effects in fairness are absolutely unreal.

Just need a real script sharpen and make the direction less....hackneyed

Anytime the oppo got a good chance and wasted it, my late dad would turn to me and say "it's a good job they're shit". Like clockwork

Parcels have 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and that song has 82m streams so I'd gonna be a pedant and issue a yellow card here

I enjoyed it a great deal but Ruffalo began to wear pretty thin, and I wished the final act was played a bit straighter

I watched The Electric State but was gutted to discover it wasn't anywhere near as bad as people made it out to be? Just a 5/10 Sunday night popcorn film? Is it being review bombed by neckbeards or something

Edit: I looked up the infamous rotten tomatoes score and it seems audiences are more generous to it than critics so it's one of those

It doesn't have a glass wall though. It's a separate company owned by the same group as Paddy Power and Betfair. They just pay Sky for the name. They've had no involvement since 2018 and sold the majority stake a decade ago

A small issue with this is that Sky the TV group is owned by Comcast and Skybet is owned by Flutter who merely license the name after they bought it from CVC. They aren't the same company

Goals
at 13:13 18 Mar 2025

There are only 4 players in the Prem on track (or already achieved) for 20 goals. There are only 2 in the Championship; Brownhill's numbers per game have him just under so let's call it 3.

What we actually need is a 13/14 goal striker, and the 3 behind to get closer to double figures and our central midfielders to be getting 5+

Ok I'll give you numbers

In his time with us he averages a red card every 23 appearances (one for violent conduct, one for waving a fake card at the ref, both surely beneath a 35 year old man), and a yellow every 2.8, and some of those were thick old yellows - he loves suddenly trying to put in a c**t's trick of a tackle out of nowhere. He has more red cards than assists for us lol.

And on the eye test, his head is one of the first to drop. Leader of men my arse. The best ability is availability - he's managed minutes amounting to 31 games in near 2 seasons cos he's always injured or suspended.

What does whoscored say about him?

Counter point - if Mullins wasn't so enthusiastic about running his horses against each other, Cheltenham would be a shit show cos there aren't enough good NH horses in training. We should be thankful Mullins doesn't take the kind of approach Hendo or Nicholls does. English trainers couldn't even fill the County, shocking stuff

I'd say centre back in the championship is a bit different to central midfield and up top though isn't it. People (not you specifically nix) are talking about him like he's dead. He's 33, there's mileage in a centre back for a couple of years yet, especially one who has always relied on his reading of the game

I personally can't stand Colback. Weirdly has very little backbone for a player so beloved of no context abrupt bursts of violence. But fair's fair, he was great on Saturday.

Still can't wait for him to be out the door though

Since moving to the safe standing I've started to enjoy a half time beer (it was impossible in the paddocks to even get a pie tbh), but, and outing myself here, I will very noticeably get the last round before we leave for the game. I ain't queuing
