| Forum Thread | Spare £22 return train ticket available for Bolton at 07:47 11 Oct 2017
Due to my dad not being able to make it, I've got a spare Virgin Trains return ticket from Euston to Manchester Picadilly available for the Bolton game on the 21st. Seat reserved on the 11am from Euston arriving in Manchester at 13.04. Seat reserved coming back on the 18.35 from Manchester arriving at Euston at 20.57. You just need to get a train to and from Bolton (or Horwich Parkway) in between. We booked the tickets in the summer so only £22. Let me know if anyone is interested. |

7 of us traveling up on the Saturday and staying in the Holiday Inn on Carrow Road. 24 hour bar which could be handy. |

I've just got home from Stansted Airport having spent 3 days out in Berlin including spending Saturday night with 4,000 of my fellow Englishmen in the away end of The Olympic Stadium in Berlin. It's not for me to say whether you should have at least a passing interest in the England football team or not but anyone who was there on Saturday will say what a great experience it was to see us come back from two goals down and beat the Germans in their own back yard. I loved it, as I do all my England trips and can't wait to go out to France to see us in the Euros's. I think that this team looks like it's got real potential but if we fail to perform as usual then so what? I'd still rather spend my summer holiday traveling round France watching England play football than sit in the usual crappy bars in Marbella or wherever. And let's face it, we've all got a long wait if we want to follow QPR around Europe... |

I was chatting to a friend of mine recently who works for a City based firm of surveyors. They have been asked to tender for all the surveying work at Old Oak Common. Not sure by who unfortunately. However, smack in the middle of the plans they have been provided is a large football stadium. If a new stadium has got all the right political support then it will definitely happen. Oh, and I won't be buying any cars from Car Giant ever again... |

Would certainly recommend the hop on hop off bus tour. Takes you to everywhere you need to see including Stormont, City Hall, Titanic quarter, Crumlin Road prison and the peace walls. I worked out there for a couple of years and loved the place. You can't believe what a divided city it is until you see it for yourself. Plenty of football grounds to tick off as well if there's a local game on. As previously mentioned, the coastal drive to the north coast is unbelievable and well worth a day trip if you've got time. |

I recognised the Rangers fan from back in the 80's and 90's when that sort of behaviour was normal. I got a good look at him because he was standing right next to me when he climbed over the wall and offered a fight to 3,000 Brummies. There was always going to be one person who took up the challenge and you can see the result. The Brummie quickly disappeared back into the crowd but I have heard a rumour from the stewards that he did get nicked shortly after. Made for a really hostile atmosphere in that corner for a while but a really enjoyable one when we scored our two goals. Great chants of 'Two nil on your big day out'. Loads of coins thrown from their end especially when we scored the 2nd goal. Chief made a point of picking one up to prove the point. All totally unacceptable but good fun when you're winning. |

It looked bad but we saw him sat on one of the seats at White City Station about an hour after the end of the game and he was okay. He had his leg in some sort of brace but he didn't think it was anything serious and he was on his way home. He assured us that he had still been paid but that it might signal the end of his stewarding career! |

It was actually my nephew who Seb gave his shirt to at the end of the game. Although he's got a season ticket, this was his first away game. So we won three nil and he walked off with our centre forward's shirt. I have had to tell him that it's not like this every week! He's been absolutely buzzing ever since so well done Seb, you are now the hero of one very excitable fan...

We were there in an official crowd of 301 along with Ramsay, Ferdinand and Steve Gallen who were all sat in the main stand. Good to see that they were paying an interest in the youngsters. Great entertainment. Players that stood out were Grego-Cox who looked the best player on the pitch before he came off at half time, Petrasso before he was injured after crashing into the perimeter fence, and James Haran who looked class at the back despite the score line. Tyler Blackwood came on at half time and scored with his 2nd touch. He was then substituted and he later told us that that was at the direct request from Ramsay who wants him to play in a behind closed doors friendly being played against Swindon on Weds morning. It was a pleasure to talk to Blackwood. He's been playing in college football in Tampa for the last 4 years but has now been given a contract at Rangers largely due to the influence of Ferdinand. He's only trained with the under 21's so far but is hoping to be given the chance to join the 1st team squad. Perhaps this Swindon game could be that chance. Lives in Enfield with his dad and gets a lift into training with Darnell Furlong or one of the other Under 21's lads who both live nearby. Seemed like a really nice bloke who was thoroughly enjoying being part of the set up at QPR. Some great goals from both teams during the game and probably a draw would have been a fair result. One other point was that it was pay what you want on the gate which was a nice touch. Our group of 3 all paid a tenner each and certainly got our money's worth. |

I would never tell people what they should or shouldn't do but I would really recommend following England away. It's a great way of seeing the world as well as getting a football match in as well. Let's face it, QPR aren't going to qualify for Europe any time soon. For that exact reason, there are always lots of R's fans following England and it's always great fun no matter what the game is like. I'll be in Dublin with the missus this weekend and I can't wait. Come on England and come on Charlie Austin... |

Me and the missus going up from Hertfordshire. Hopefully a nice lunch somewhere. Probably a crap game to watch. Almost certainly a long drive home through roadworks somewhere... |

8 of us going up from Marylebone. Should be another good day that is slightly disrupted by 90 minutes of rubbish football. But I still wouldn't want to be anywhere else. |

I managed to get an invite to the London Football Awards recently. As is customary at these events, there was an auction and one of the lots was lunch for 10 people in some restaurant somewhere with Harry Redknapp. Anyway, a couple of tables got in a bidding war which of course just turned into a Whose Got The Biggest Balls Contest. It eventually went for 30 grand. Yes, 3 grand per person to have lunch with that idiot. It all goes to charity of course but what an unbelievable waste of money. Makes £195 per person seem cheep. But I'll still decline the offer... |

Have had one for the last 35 years so a little thing like relegation won't stop me. I actually prefer it in the Championship anyway. And besides that, what else is there better to on a Saturday afternoon? Or a Sunday, or a Monday, Friday nights etc etc |

Against Wolves, New Years Eve 1977. Lost 3-1 and I see that the next game's programme describes Rangers' performance that day as rubbish. Needless to say though, I was hooked. Can still remember Don Shanks scoring our goal. Sat in the lower tier in South Africa Road with my Dad and we still sit together in the upper tier in the Loft |
