He'd only met the club secretary 4 or 5 times in all the time he was here when most managers see her once or twice a week and he absolutely refused to give his phone number to any of the players and refused to take theirs,he told the players that if they wanted to speak to him about anything they do it in training,if it was away from training and they needed to speak to him they were to phone someone at the club and ask them to contact him. Hence he couldn't phone the up to say bye bye when he left.
Strange chap.

At least I think the press conference and the aftermath in general has proven beyond reasonable doubt that Laudrup has shared phone numbers with at least some of the players.
Darren you are so fast to slag other posters on here for the quality of their sources, I wonder what sources you have had to make a statement on here, it must have been a reliable one right?

I believe if they sacked Laudrup for only winning 9 out of 38 and gone public with that, Laudrup would have taken his coat and left. And then he would not have had a press conference today.
But it seems that they are trying to pin him on a breach of contract while orchestrating a smear campaign that then gets so much out of control that HJ the next day tries to put a break on it. This is blatantly to try and sneak out of paying ML what it says in his contract he is entitled to. Hate or love ML you can simply not condole such action.
It has taken 9 days for SCFC lawyers to invent a letter justifying the reasons for his dismissal - I am sure it is not saying "poor results". |

First of all can it possibly get anymore irellevant ?
ML is actually a celebrity in at least Spain and Denmark and not giving your phonenumbers to people you can not trust completely is a very bad way to protect your privacy. Why on earth would the players need to talk to him outside training anyway? |

Absolutely spot on.
But curious to read that we now have lowered the bar so that we are satisfied with a draw at home, in my mind that's a worse result than loosing to the hammers away. That would not have been the case a week ago. I guess we should have some understanding that the manager is inexperienced and give him all our support right? |

Yes good read and easy to relate to. No real surprices there.
Hiwever I think it would be easy for HJ to go out and say. We what a manager that shows more enthusiasm during the games. We had to many different opinions regarding transfer prospects and budgets. We feel the way we play with ML is not the way we want Swansea to play. But nothing like that has been said. I think we need a reason. |

I can accept they sack ML, I don't agree but I can accept.
But that then to appoint Monk who certainly have strained relationships with at least 1 of the players, who has zero experience as a manager AT ALL. I think you will need some very good reasons to make the decision that we can not wait until we have a proper replacement. OK no training in the rain and drunk players could explain such radical action. But now ML is still a great guy according to Huw, we just think Monk will shout more during the games, and tell everybody that we can whoop Man City and the lot any day of the week.
Huw you really really must us why. Vincent Tan and Abramowich do not have to tell because they put in all the money, but you do! |

Wales are really cleaning up the Danes - last week it was Cornelius back to FCK. This is the biggest beating the Danes have taken in Wales since Mikkel Kessler. |

Tutumly can not sell Ash without the consent of the board, so this whole thing about him selling Ash is stupid. If he tried to make it happen, in my view he is just doing what an agent does, but surely too agressive for the considerate and careful Huw Jenkins. |

We can spin it any way we like. For ML against HJ or opposite - think it is neither way and sometimes in a work relationship you can be in a conflict and both can be right. There is not one way to run a football club there is not one right way to manage a team. Often it is a conflict between short term needs and long term concerns.
I personally feel extreemly sad about what has happened. I admit before this season I hoped that ML would stay for several years. But something happened over the summer sending off Tutumlu was weird - i was so relieved when finally they signed Bony. And maybe at this point both HJ and ML decided that this was the last year anyway. Now results have not been good - but they are not that bad either. Performances have also been good and bad. But the general mood from the club and from the fans have been on a constant downward spiral.
I do not really think this is good for Swansea though or for ML either. |

Is Jenkins buying for the Championship or what?
I so envy Hull at the moment, bringing in Jelavic and Holtby shows some purpose, just for that they deserve to finish above us. |
