Cook rolls back the years as QPR stand firm for first clean sheet – Report
at 01:26:40

Cook should get a 9.

He did everything a CB should do but score the winner, which is why it should be a 9 rather than a 10 if he had done that.

A win - Report
at 23:37:01

You need to up the rating for the Ref, as it was not a penalty.
Here's why.

Dykes crosses the ball, and it hits the Millwall player. He has his arm out, and it looks at first like it has hit him on the arm, clear pen as the arm is out.

But I have seen it in slow-mo on the replay, and it does not hit his outstretched arm as he actually pulls that away; it hits him on the elbow point blank, and the player's elbow where the ball struck was tucked well into his chest at his side. The ref was 5 yards away and saw this clearly; hence, there was no pen. You can see this in the above video on 6 minutes.

I also note the first goal is worked all the way from the back.
A manager's goal is that one.

As good as we've got? Report

JCS should get a 5, as was previously said, he did not pick up his man when Leeds scored.

You say when we lose, no one should get a 7. But here we lose and no one plays well against a team who really were poor themselves. Begovic kept the score down so only he should have got 6 and the sending-off was not his fault.

QPR fail another exposure to Coventry’s sky-blue light – Report
at 16:59:33

Armstrong should be on 7; he came on and got a Pen (not his fault the ref is blind) and then set up the only goal.

He came on when the rest of the team was pish. A youngster carrying the line. Getting that yellow was silly, but it showed Cov he was there to mean business.

I say again, play him from the start and stop pishing about. If Willock wants to get in the team, he can come off the bench and destroy the oppo or stay there till Jan.

While their first was handball, I think I saw a reply that showed in the build-up to our first goal Dykes handled the ball. So, all square then.

I am not sure Dozzells would have gone in, it was on target as the Keeper was diving for it and was close.

Fierce rivals to kindred spirits - Preview

Looking at the chart for Chair, we can see of the 29 chances created only 5 were actual crosses into the box.

If you check stats, crosses from either win into the box create the most goals (and chances usually). We can see here the 5 assists Chair made, 3 of them came from the 5 actual crosses he did into the box.

Therefore we can deduce that while Chair creates many chances, the majority of those were not crosses into the box and did not result in a goal. However, when he does cross from the wing into the box, they do result in a goal as 3 out of 5 is very high.

These stats I see in a different light, rather than rightly applaud Chair as being the most creative player in the Champ, I would say we see with this data what we see, him holding onto the ball too long and not crossing it early enough to create the actual goals we know (and the data shows us) he can do.

Now we have the issues at hand of the impact of Chair not crossing the ball early enough, less goals as we can see compared to when he does.

LTC did pass sideways a lot at the start of the season, later on, in the middle third of the season before his injury, I noticed he started taking more risky forward passes to get players in behind the defence. And despite the risks of these passes with his skill it was starting to work, game after game and we retained the ball in the more dangerous position of the last third.

It would be interesting to see the stats in relation to forward passes of his games starting the season vs the games he did before he got injured. I suspect they were coaching him to do more forward passes and improving his game. hence his contract renewal as they can see the potential.

If he continues his forward passing that I saw before the injury he will be a useful player, I still want to see more of Bettache though. I see the next JoJo in Bettache, he just needs more games and in our first team not wasted on loan. We lost years with Furlong on loan and Manning in the reserves. If they are good enough they are old enough. Like with Willock, play em, play em again and then start them.

Jordan Cousins is one of those out of contract, but everyone told me when they leave QPR they go on to be better players. Seems their memory is selective!

I think I agree with all those grades but Scowen's. I think a D is harsh considering we got him on a free, he always tries hard (even when he knows he's off to another club) and he is imho better than Amos who did cost us a loan fee.

We also got some money for him it seems, although probably not much.

For me we should not have signed Amos, used Scowen more and then brought in some of the young'uns come Jan when we sold him. I hope we don't sign Amos, I am not sure he's interested in doing the dirty work of a DMC and he hasn't the passing skills of an AMC. If he's a Box to Box mid, then we have seen they don't work well at QPR ala Jordon Cousins.

A loan again, naturally - Guest column

You forgot Balanta who is at MK Dons.
I think he is playing in the wrong position as striker and should play as attacking midfielder.

If he comes on as sub and does the biz, then we can sell players like Buz who we would no longer need.
