Time to move Key?
at 18:43 28 Nov 2024

If you are playing full back and asked to push forward you need support from those around you. Key seems decent enough to me I'm not sure we have the team organisation around him right? When we attack I'm not sure how we balance the team, there are often large gaps when we lose the ball?

I think in recovering from illness we are all familiar with feeling fine and then as the game passes you feel that you have run out of energy. Better to come off at that stage than over extend yourself and be out for 10 days.

Taking into consideration all these questions and others, where is the fully absorbed CO2 cost/benefit for replacing a ICE car with a new EV?

Johnson set the 2030 target, Sunak aligned it with the EU at 2035 which sensible as it is a similar market. Starmer has gone back to 2030 which puts the UK in a difficult place.

Watch out for back tracking!

The closure of the Luton van plant announcement today is in contrast to the decision by Porsche.
That idiot Milliband needs to understand the impact for the UK in being out of step with the rest of the market, that is we will be producing the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Jason Levien has left us in a stronger position than when he took over?

I agree with Jason, it was bad for us when he took over and better for us when he left.

I don't see the problem with having one Jewish state, there are lots of Christian and Muslim states for example.

A number of well off, comfortable countries, arrogant enough to think that people will just follow them without thinking of 'what's in it for them' have hit reality, you can't just preach to people. It's the same behaviour that got Trump elected again.

Running a Championship club is not for the feint hearted, at least he's seen what he's up against.

I'm a bit more optimistic than when Levien and Kaplan arrived.

Subsidies started after the war to maintain continuity the food supply, to prevent farms going out of business because of cyclical demand and pricing issues.
Subsidies do seem to have expanded and I'm not sure I understand them now. The IHT on farms possibly presents a similar issue for food supply security.

All this Budget Speculation

15 year gilt yields have hit 4.7 percent, we are not far off the level that happened after the Truss budget. If Reeves does not get her expected tax income and growth does not pick up we'll be in a pickle.

The Saudis have, with other oil producing countries, proposed that the previous agreement to transition from fossil fuels be overturned. It's going backwards!

Yes, in places like France and Italy small businesses and family operated concerns seem to manage well. Here we have changed a whole load of taxes and rules to favour big business, and the changes to IHT for Farms is another step in that direction. We will end up with big industrial corporate farms like the USA
Small business profits are kept locally, big business profits graduate to those with money.

Black Rock only have about 11 Trillion Dollars of assets. One of the organisations that have driven the concentration of wealth into a small number of businesses.
Starmer does not understand that Black Rock is part of the challenge that ordinary people face these days?
