The solution already exists. The officials just have to apply the laws of the game.
For example, the laws state that no treatment for injury must take place on the field of play, and the game must proceed asap. A throw in must be taken at the exact point where the ball left the field of play. The goalie cannot hold the ball for more than 6 seconds. Has any goalie EVER been carded twice for this?
And so on.
When these instances and many others get ignored by the officials, it is dismissed as ‘good game management’, whereas in fact it is the complete opposite. If the officials and their masters strap a pair on and try applying all the laws not just the ones they won’t get shouted at about, we would soon see a real difference. |

Rangers pitch is the third smallest in the Premier League, only West Ham and Spurs are smaller. They are a standard size unless stadium limitations prevent. |

Agree particularly about Traore right at the end - so dumb.
But the worst by a country mile was Foster, I have seen some time wasting keepers before but he was the worst ever. So blatant and the ref didn't give a stuff. Foster told the ball boy not to bring the ball to him so he had to walk over to fetch it, and then then had a nice conspiratorial grin together.
Not why we lost but very frustrating.
Apologies to those near me who must have been fed up with my shouting at Foster. |

By diving Young denied himself a clear goal scoring opportunity. So he should have gone. 
Just like Ridgewell 2 seasons ago when he punched the ball into the net instead of just heading it in.
Do the Laws of the game specify it has to be a defender? |
