It's not just the pitch. Spectator safety etc has to be taken into consideration. We have had matches called off before when the pitch was playable but streets around the stadium has compacted snow on the footpaths. Anybody recall arriving at Trannie to find half the roof had blown off a stand.
After what I have witnessed this season and last is the 'Professionalism' from many teams. When is Big Jim going to coach Dale to have a lie down on the pitch when under pressure and kill the opposition's momentum? It isn't 'playing cricket' and some will no doubt disagree with me. But at times we do show a naivety in managing the game.
