Has it been posted that the scheduled ref is Rob Lewis of Shropshire? Seems he's not previously officiated at a match involving Dale. Reffed 18 games this season, no red cards but handy with the yellow - 59.

Why another forward? Anyway, Benson is now 33 and the goals seem to be drying up.

Might be a similar starting XI, because there aren't that many options, but I'll wager they play differently and with more purpose.

It's virtually the same. Although we could be set out different with tutte and grant patrolling the wide area's with cav and kennedy in the middle. Lillis Rafferty P Edwards Bennet McIntyre Tutte Cav Kennedy Bobby Gornell Grimes. But even if it is a similar line up to coleman, the main difference is the ability to change it now, with haworth coming in, if tactics aren't working then we can throw haworth on a get a bit of width about us.

Refwatch was written but Col has been offline. Lewis has refereed 4 previous Dale games, last one v Darlington in January 2008.

You are right, of course. (I went back to when the was a Blue Star ref., didn't realise he'd had an earlier FL career.) Dale won that Darlo game 3-1, I think.

I would imagine/hope this team tonight shows more desire and grit with Hill judging them all.

I'm sorry but I really don't think you can accuse the team of lacking desire and grit this season. There is plenty more you can accuse them off, but not that. Just my opinion though.

I think a bit too much desire in certain circumstances, but I think Hill will hopefully give them that lift and belief they've lacked at times, especially in seeing games out.
