The Monday New Stadium Thread 05:31 - Sep 26 with 1814 viewsrangers69

according to the bbc, yesterdays attendance was 16,707. clearly nowhere near the 30 - 35,000 that we should be getting each & every home game.
sooner or later, those blinkers will have to come off for you to realise that sustainability at this level requires bums on seats. seats that are more comfortable & offer more legroom than the ones we usually perch ourselves on. modern diets has ensured that this generation of supporters is clearly bigger than the last.
initially, the plan has to be about consolidation & staying in the premier league. it will then have to turn its attention to a new improved stadium with more seats & better facilities.
i see on today's bbc site, there is an article about everton and their need for a bigger stadium.

if everton, a well established premiership side, say they cannot compete without the additional revenue stream that a bigger stadium would provide, what chance do we have? and when will people actually realise that this is an inevitability, given the ambitions of our new owners.
i love lr & the intimidating atmosphere it generates. now if only we could do an audi & shove it in a photocopier & increase it by 175% or so. we could then reduce the attendance prices, ans slowly you would see increased gates & revenues. within 5 years of being an established premiership club, we could have a regular 35,000 gate each & every home game.
