Welsh Water 07:34 - Jan 30 with 1493 views | raynor94 | Are increasing prices by 27% from April, rising to 40% by 29/30. The non for profit company who are amongst the worst performing in the UK! The level of debt on bills is already the highest in the country, this is certainly not going to help

Welsh Water on 08:37 - Feb 1 by felixstowe_jack | Another myth perpetuated by Welsh nationalists that it would raised billions. If wales refused to provide water all the dams would simply overflow into the rivers Severn, Dee and Wye where the Water companies could just pump it out for free and Wales would lose the current water abstraction fees. I guess England and Scotland could also charge extra for gas and oil transferred from the North Sea to Wales. England could also charge extra for all the food grown in the fertile lowlands of England. All nonsense of course they are all UK assets shared out around the UK. |
You are deluded. Nothing wrong with Wales getting the fair market for its water. Maybe then we would not be so underfunded as a nation. Water is a pretty important commodity and without it farmland aint much use. Fair market rate is needed, nothing more. Really we should have done the same with coal. Wales would be like Dubai now ….. 🤣 We dont need any handouts, we need fairness. And the Crown Estate needs to change. Once we are more prosperous than England, then i am all in favour of helping them out. Until then we need the tools to help ourselves out.

Wales is a region of the UK, we are not the Uk and we are a member of the Union. By that answer I take it you CANNOT make a good argument for keeping the airport. The family stand comment, is that meant to be some kind of snide remark because as insutls go it's really pathetic

Its not a region. Scotland and Wales are nations. Thats why uk govt has its ‘Council of the Nations and Regions‘. Otherwise it would be called ‘ Council of the Regions’. This is too easy …. 🤣

Wales is a country and a region of the UK which is why it's called council of "Nations and regions" Back to school on Monday. By the way, it should be UK not uk AND it's not its. If you want to try and nit pick you'll need to be perfect yourself and we know that is not possible.

It’s still not a region. This is a black and white issue, not open to opinion. Factually Wales is a nation. The Nations is the title refer to Wales and Scotland. Only England has the Regions. ‘ The council's members are the holders of the offices of prime minister of the United Kingdom, first minister of Scotland, first minister of Wales, first and deputy first minister of Northern Ireland, mayor of London, and the 11 English combined authority mayoralties’. Suck it up buttercup …🏴 [Post edited 2 Feb 17:42]

Absolutely not, when I am right (which is a lot more than you btw) then you usually ignore it and don't answer the questions I ask because you know you'll have to submit, so NO. Yoiu suck it up. If only the Senedd wasn't allowing WELSH water to be sold off cheap to England eh. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

You say it is a shared asset and I generally accept this to a certain extent. Wales should come to a sensible understanding about these assets. It is therefore disingenuous to start quoting the £15 billion. "subsidy" we receive. ( Tax deficit). We supply essential assets to our nation with respect. We do not expect to be characterised as a people on benefits and a dependency on the ci ty of London.(Which a was bailed out in 2009) with a artificially inflated housing sector.

Well said. We are being asset stripped. An estimated £4 Trillion worth of coal was extracted from Welsh coal fields. If that money had stayed in Wales we would a rich nation today. Now its welsh water and the rip off Crown Estate. HS2 monies as well. Then they tell us we are a basket case economy who needs London rule. It’s just not true folks.

Welsh Water on 00:55 - Feb 3 with 25 views | Robbie | Welsh Assembley cannot run a bath let alone run a necessary got to have commodity . Why give control back to them , they would put a speed limit on the flow of the H2O. Private Sector fat cats abound again , profits and rewards for the Directors . It pees down in Wales 10 months of the year , a week of sunshine is a bonus . Then a drought alert is launched , save water if you can . Different cicumstances to many families myself , but I do have an outside water meter . Bills have been constant over the last few years , give or take a few quid . Many households with small children will need the washing machine on 24/7 . How much are their bllls going to rise .
