Millwall away virgin 11:55 - Jan 28 with 5747 views | Rangerman | Hi All, apologies if this has already been covered, but I'm making my first trip to Millwall away and would really appreciate some advice on the general logistics of the day. I'll also be taking my daughter to her first away day, so it's a day of firsts for us! Could anyone recommend the best pubs and the most convenient train station to use? P.S. I am not an under cover meat head. [Post edited 28 Jan 11:57]

Barrow boy and banker - generic fullers pub, big, plenty of options. The Rake at the back of borough market - if you like craft beers, go here, but you will be looking at £8+ a pint. The Horniman at hays galleria - Nicholsons pubs, loads on, loads of staff, on the river, nice to sit outside but again £7+ pints mostly. If you like German beers and steins, Katzenjamers has plenty. The Wheatsheaf in borough market is fine too. There's always the Bermondsey beer mile for mirco breweries along the way.

Millwall away virgin on 00:33 - Jan 30 by SydneyRs | I was one of the very few Rs in the away end that night. An intimidating atmosphere to say the least, not helped by our extremely defensive performance (back passing to the keeper was very much still allowed then) to grind out a 0-0. The mate I went with that night is a Forest fan so it wasn't even 100% QPR fans among that small away following. The home leg which we won 2-1 was extremely lively, during and after the game. |
I was a naive youngster and was there too, it was somewhat lively! Though, as said before, because I went on my motorbike and wearing motorbike jackets & boots it made me pretty much invisible. Though if I had got caught up in anything I was pretty well armoured!

Or perhaps everyone should sit in their allocated seat. It’s not rocket science.

It’s not but it’s silly if the standers are at the front and the sitters are at the back. Going where you want for away games has worked since forever and if you really want your specific seat it only means getting in at 2:45.

Bunch of Grapes is a good away pub. Good size, garden, good range from memory. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A fair few people only try and get to their seats about 2.55,which causes a bit of a scrum as fans always try to get to the back rows.I don’t what we can do to deal with the situation though.

Millwall away virgin on 16:44 - Jan 30 with 719 views | SpongeParr | Think the QPR away fans all stand now anyway right? So no benefit to being at the back. I'd rather be standing at the front row. First time doing Millwall on a Sat 3pm, so I'm.looking forward to it. Home ends are pretty much sold out as well.
