Antiques Roadshow on 01:09 - Nov 28 by Robbie | Always looked like he had slapped to much Brycleem on his well groomed hair style . His sideburns were a blast from the past too . Sadly I now cannot claim ownership any more of them hairstyles and facial growth . Dai Davies and the brilliant Dave Stewart were the next generation of keepers I remember but cannot remember Tony Millingtons replacements , bit of a memory gap there . |
Balac, Potter davies, Rimmer on loan, Barber

Antiques Roadshow on 19:57 - Nov 25 by SullutaCreturned | You were going to the Swans in 1974? I hardly remember Millington, I was 7 the season he left. |
In Jan 1971 i defo saw Swans vs Rhyl in the FA Cup. 6-1 Swans, Dai Gwyther with a hat trick. Tony was in goal for us and his younger brother Glanville in goal for Rhyl. I will see if i can find the Swans line up that day.

Dai the drop and Jimmy Rimmer were Tosh signings way back in the good old days . Sure Harry Griffiths was manager on my first ventures onto the fearful NB as my parents tried to stop disuade me from attending football in Swansea on a floodlight Tuesday. The rebel in me ignored their half hearted appeals , gave up and then The Vetch was it . Look into Wikipedia soon to find out Tony Millington replacements needed .

Antiques Roadshow on 06:46 - Nov 29 with 419 views | KeithHaynes | I will add I was sent a pack of photographs from that day, originals. I still have them but where I couldn’t say. I was researching the Swans fan who was up in London in 1926 for the FA Cup semi final v Arsenal. He was arrested in possession of a revolver. I located his family but they were very unwilling to talk about it. Some nasty scenes that day as well.

Dai Davies first signed for us from Ammanford in 1969, making his debut in the final match of the 1969/70 season. He was then sold to Everton in 1970, returning back here on loan in 1974 - before being signed by Tosh in 1981. Jimmy Rimmer first signed for us on loan from Man Utd in 1973, before rejoining us in 1983 from Aston Villa.
