Enough 12:09 - Nov 10 with 8501 views | dixiefrog | It pains me to say this, but despite supporting and attending Saints games my entire life, I have had enough. For me I feel it’s time to make a stand and do something with the SR Board will listen to, they seem impervious to anything the fans say and are plainly not listening. So words haven’t worked, maybe action will. To all the Uglies and Saints fans I call for a boycott of the Liverpool game, maybe a few thousand empty seats will show the Board that we’ve stomached the current coaching team enough and it’s time for a change. Now I don’t expect them to listen, but assuming they don’t I’ll not go to the one after or any until the Board acts. Despite the debacle on the pitch I still don’t think it’s too late for us to get ourselves out of the sh1t, we do however need a proven manager who will steady the ship and have us prepared for whichever league we end up in next year. So unless the Board see sense and remove the current coaching staff before the Liverpool game, then demonstrate your belief in the club and stay home.

If nothing else an interesting theory. As I’ve previously suggested in my opinion our current problems emulate from one or even both of :- A) Dragan and the Club generally are plotless. B ) Dragan and the Club generally are quite happy at our current direction of travel which is back to The Championship. Pays your money and takes your choice comes to mind. |
I didn't say he can't sack them. I said that's why it hasn't happened so far. If you think that driving a wedge between the owners of SR and trying to force one out would be a simple matter without repercussions then you are badly mistaken - almost as badly mistaken as your belief that they will be happy to see us relegated.

What a joke. My "interesting theories" says the man who suggests that SR are happy to be relegated having spent hundreds of millions on a PL club. That would qualify as the worst business plan in world history. It would make as much sense as your comments.

Ifonly, I sense from the tone and wordings of your last two responses that you are getting a little frustrated that I don’t subscribe to your “ interesting theories”. Please forgive me for being sceptical.Perhaps my judgement may have been somewhat coloured by some of your theories put forward when discussing previous topics. I can’t remember which topic in particular but was it not yourself who suggested that all UK old people who were unable to self fund their own latter years care should be compulsorily sent to Scotland ? Mass fooking protests is what's needed. Dragon would respond to that, and those who worry about a change of manager must know that things under Martin are not going to improve. Why are Saints fans so tolerant? Boycott the next game en-mass.

No I did not say that. You seem determined to create petty arguments by taking any illustrative comment you can and taking it out of context. What's the point? The only point I see you trying to make is that SR are happy to be relegated. Your point is bullsh1t and I guarantee you that is not simply an interesting theory.

Bridders, at last somebody talking some sense, the only thing the Board will respond to is a big show by the fans and the bad press it will bring. Turning our backs, silence from the stands, protests before/after the game is just pussying about. Let’s all be strong and as one a send message to the owner, that this situation can’t be allowed to continue. Don’t sit on your hands, vote with your feet and say fook-you to the board.

The "style" of play is dire, a million passes in areas that make no difference to the game, followed by a mistake that costs us the game and no mental strength in the team which means most times one goal turns into three as their heads drop. Then post game we have to listen to a bloke that is completely delusional tell us how it's positive and brave, and that all of us that watch it are wrong. Couple that with the god awful linked in speak that the more visible parts of the ownership stuff in our face and it's absolutely everything wrong with modern football. As I did say, you seem determined to try to make a petty argument by taking an illustrative comment out of context. I see you've wasted your time by searching through the archive looking for more petty arguments, but as you're there you should look at the context of that comment. The context was a discussion about exploding NHS spending and how very large numbers of expensive hospital beds are blocked because although the people in them don't need to be in hospital, they can't be discharged because a "suitable" care home is not available. I said that care home beds were much cheaper than hospital beds, so providing care beds would be a more appropriate use of any additional govt spending. But if a "suitable" care home can't be found, then they should be discharged to an unsuitable one. That is better than leaving them blocking beds in hospital (where apart from anything else, data shows their health deteriorates and they catch super bugs). So, as I said "If the available space is in Scotland then that’s where they should go". We do not have the money to provide an optimal solution to every recipient of public spending. We will have to make compromises to find the best solution available to free up NHS beds. This is a very different thing to your claim that I said "all UK old people who were unable to self fund their own latter years care should be compulsorily sent to Scotland". A semi intelligent person would be able to understand that these are different statements and that your claim misrepresents what I said. A petty, stupid man on the other hand.... Meanwhile, back to the football and your idiotic claim that SR are happy for us to be relegated.

frannies Tache had more go in it than this whole team, oh i wish for some real dig in deep footballers but i suppose they dont exist nowadays unless you play for brentford, brighton, bournemouth, Ipswich, because they are massive clubs afterall ?? unlike our tinpot collection of overpaid footballers and the loan players ( Cornet, Ugachukwu) we have, my god send them back now what a flippen waste of money must be over 90k a week could of got a real footballer for that JWP.

Time spent conclusively proving that you did say something that you later so vehemently denied is not time wasted Ifonly. A less kind hearted person than myself may well say that you lied. Personally I’m happy to suggest that you were perhaps just economical with the truth. Reference context. What you actually said was “ people shouldn’t expect a comfy room down the road from their children who refuse to take them in. If the available space is in Scotland then that’s where they should go.” Sounds to me pretty much like being compulsorily sent to another country because they can’t self fund, but I’m quite happy to let others form their own opinion as to what you meant. On a more general note and perhaps something that may ease your obvious frustrations when your views are disagreeing with. My life’s experiences have taught me that if you want someone to change their point of view it’s far better to try and persuade them. Reverting to insults (implied or otherwise) which are the product of one’s own frustration is rarely, if ever, a successful route to journey down. To end on the subject of The Saints. I’ve been out for most of the day and haven’t heard of any sacking action by our Owners so another day passes with there being no change ?

After today’s supposed information from the club, I can’t believe the comment that they will have “no choice but to replace the Scot if their poor form continues." What hole have they been living in if they believe that RM is going to change his style of play. Once again the Board show their complete lack of respect to the fans in thinking this will pacify the masses. Maybe we need to show a similar lack of respect by not showing up against Liverpool.

My frustration with you is that you keep making things up and claiming I said them. It is you that is "economical with the truth" not me. Can you really not understand how that is annoying? It's either deliberate or you don't understand anything I say. So let me spell out some basics: 1) I did not deny that I made the statements I actually made. I denied that I made the statement that you made up. THOSE ARE DIFFERENT THINGS. You suggested that I said "all UK old people who were unable to self fund their own latter years care should be compulsorily sent to Scotland". I did not. 2) The statements I made were in the context of a discussion about freeing up NHS beds by moving people to care homes. You left out my words which preceded the words you quote, which were: "So we've ended up with a problem with elderly people blocking up expensive hospital beds when they don't need to be there. As I said above, even if the government is now forced to pick up the tab for these people, it would be cheaper to do that and move them out of hospital into a care home than keep them in a hospital bed. But if the government is now being forced to pick up the tab (which has never been agreed on or voted for politically) then ..." So, I'm talking about the people who are blocking hospital beds. This is different to your statement which referred to "all UK old people". The people who are blocking hospital beds are not "all UK old people". Understand? 3) A moderately intelligent person would understand that my statement "If the available space is in Scotland then that’s where they should go" does not mean that they should be sent to Scotland. It means they should be sent to where the available capacity is and if that is in Scotland so be it. This is very different to your words. I hope that's clear. If you don't want to be so annoying, then stop making things up and pretending I said them.

More importantly to me is that in your latest contribution you appear again totally unable to take any notice whatsoever of my friendly advice reference your undoubted frustrations when people don’t agree with you.
