There have been lots of youngsters playing on trial for the Development team over the past month or so. I wouldn't get too excited as most won't be signed and those that do will need to prove themselves in U21s matches and on loans before having any chance of getting into the senior squad.

I would hope that any signings will not be brought in to play U21 football. And do 12 months playing boys football!!! My line is that if they are good enough then they are old enough.

No doubt you are correct. It wouldn't be a surprise to see 1 ir 2 getting 12onth deals.Despite the Dev Squad having a fairly good season, none have pushed on; some will be released ( Kargbo, Randall, Pedder, Drewe); so there will be gaps in the squad needing filling.
The DS beat Charlton this afternoon. 4-0, including Pedder hat trick (2 penalties).

Yeah of course. Don't forget there will be some U18s who will move up too. For example, Alfie Tuck is already a regular in the Dev team, and a very good prospect too.

To go back to OP, we've been.linked with Nwabali, a Nigerian keeper currently with Chippa Utd in S Africa Josh Murphy, from Oxford Utd Kemar Roofe, currently at G Rangers.
Both QPR and Watford after Declan Frith from Valencia. 21 yo striker was with Chelsea and Villa but hasn't got into Valencia's 1st team.
I hope the last 2 don't happen. Murphy is 29 and didn't pull up trees in Championship at Norwich. Roofe is 31 and best days we'll behind him
