Anyone would take the owners with money who are clearly fans. Whatever anyone thinks about what Wrexham have done, it’s obvious Reynolds and McElhenney are invested as supporters as well as as owners.
There could be another poll where we are asked do we want to have the type of supporter communication and involvement seen at Wrexham or that which we experience at Dale, where both clubs have fans running the club.
If possible tomorrow, which model do you choose for Dale? on 12:49 - Nov 4 by 442Dale

There's also a much more obvious example at Watford. I can remember Dale playing them in the late 70s just as the benevolence of Elton John started to make a difference, and he appeared in our old main stand. Not seen anyone complaining about that

Interestingly the huge news when Elton took over at Watford was that he had put £1m quid into the club...the reality was, that he had simply guaranteed a £1m loan from a bank. So he didnt ever actually have to put his own money into Watford. So it would be the equivalent of someone putting £ 8.8m into a club today.

I'm aware of that, yet it made all the difference and at a time when £8.8m went much, much farther than it would now
In addition, would Watford have attained the status they did in the 1980s, and again more recently, without his backing?
As i've said before recently, those who see football through the prism of finance tend to miss a much bigger picture
