The FFP workarounds keep coming. Training ground named after Ruben's late father...

When we compare this pumping more and more money in to the club to what is happening at the likes of Sheff Weds and then look at some of the Twotterati demanding our board sell the club

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

Brilliant.

We've woken up. Who would dare criticise a deal that honours a deceased person.

This and the stadium deal present us with a windfall deal that we mustn't waste.

Thank you Ruben for keeping our club alive and now giving it a chance of a reset.

Many other clubs doing it, about time we joined in. The 400k stadium sponsorship figure is small fry compared to Stoke who are pulling in 10m+ through various Bet365 sponsorship deals via the owners company. Perhaps this additional sponsorship enables some investment in the Jan window.

Shame it's taken us a while to spot the loophole, but better late than never.

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

As long as this is them getting smart and not frantically scrabbling around because they know they're over FFP then it is, belatedly, welcome news. Other clubs take the pis.

I suspect there'll be some more announcements like this to come.

Perhaps Clive should be onto this too.

It may be scrabbling around Clive, but at least theyv'e given themselves time to react.

I would prefer that they were being proactive, but it's a long time since I thought that any of them knew what was happening.

What else can we sell naming rights for? The scoreboard? The Loftus Road stand? The South Africa Road stand?

I’ll donate £50 to the club if you get my username tattooed on there to open the bidding.

Can we ask Ruben to re-name Carlsberg as Peroni and replace the piss inside the bottles with Peroni too?

Suffering since 1978.

"QPR's first substitution, sponsored by Nandos, give your appreciation to [insert player name] and welcome on to the pitch [insert player name]!"

"QPR's first goal, sponsored by Maryland Chicken..."

No, hold on.

"The opposition's third goal, brought to you by The Queens Tavern..."

You laugh, but Hull City do this I think. Hull FC certainly do in Super League.

Maybe they do read the board

https://loftforwords.fansnetwork.co.uk/forum/302852/page:3/#65

So....
There's loads more opportunities like this to cook the books.
Sponsor the training ground. (JOB DONE)

Now for.....
Employ people with the yoot set up as their core role but they actually do a lot with first team "on an ad hoc basis for experience"
Amortise contracts over a longer period with break clauses and payments linked.
Rent out boxes to your own companies at massive prices for meetings during the week.
Pay players bonuses for community work hours

I am amazed it's taken them so long with the position allegedly being that they want to invest but FFP hamstrings.

This is all great BUT.... lets not just aimlessly slosh dosh about as that never worked in the recent past and wont work this time.
A striker yes but let's be sensible!

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Not sure if it was Rangers game recently or something else but yes each substitute was announced with ‘substitute announcement sponsored by …..”

Might have been Leeds? Not sure

Years ago, the official match day programme used to publish the names of those who sponsored various parts of players’ kits. I know as I was once a sponsor and it culminated in a meet the players “day/evening” at the club’s training ground where you got that particular piece of kit. Does this still happen? I ask as I no longer buy a programme and wondered whether it may have had something to do with data protection?
I know we’re not talking mega bucks here (or left bollocks) but, as one major retailer states, “every little helps”.

I'd genuinely stump up at least a ton for naming rights to The Kensalriser Khazi Block.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?
