Michael Appleton cut a frustrated figure after Thursday's heavy defeat to Leeds. Was that down to his side's first-half defending? Or the lack of movement in the transfer market? A bit of both, probably.https://t.co/le39h4Wn8g
Not great when the Head Coach starts having a pop after the 2nd friendly.
Not seeing the usual "everything is great" videos, from the senior players.
All a bit strange.

1. Slagged off the players after just the 2nd friendly
2. Kept playing a system we don't have the players for, then playing the players out of position
3. In interviews stop using terms like "small club", "small budget", "survival", and "struggle". We've heard that crap before.
2 weeks in, and the hope is draining away.
For a manager who finished 17th in L1 last season, I think you are bloody lucky to have this job. So instead of sounding like a man getting his excuses for failing in early, hit the reset button and start again, while there is time, as I want you to suceed.
Love and peace

Spot on.
Especially the point about constant references to 'little'.
Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

Just missing "Colchester should be our role model"

Michael Appleton admits he was forced to stray from his "principles" on Saturday.
With five midfielders currently out, his hands were forced into playing 4-4-2 and it certainly made for an entertaining spectacle.https://t.co/MgN6syKk9w

Never has such an unpopular appointment been turned around in this fashion.
Please bump this thread at the juncture of the unethical World Cup break in November when more solid judgements can be made.
Results in October will sort his future out.
His interviews have got better

Let's face it, Michael Appleton has been fighting an uphill battle since the start. But once the fans fully turn on you, it's very difficult to envisage a way back.
My thoughts on the current situation following yet another sobering day at the office.https://t.co/bdrohYqfyX

Michael Appleton insists he’s not panicking despite Blackpool slipping into the bottom three after suffering a fourth straight defeathttps://t.co/A6vRSrR1Yn

Even then, we'd not be out of the woods. There's a big turn over of important players in the summer of 2023. That could go either way.
After He had a pop at Marv last week, have any of the players improved under His coaching??

The only advantage of a 4-4-2 is we don't have any strikers who are effective on their own up front.
2 together give us a chance of playing out best chance of scoring goals and winning matches - Yates - with a strike partner (Madine), hitting a hot spot, and putting a few points on the board.
But no, a half fit Beesley gets started up top with Madine and our best chance of scoring a goal and winning the match is stuck out ....... wait for it ..... on the left wing ....... complying with defensive duty instructions.
Joke set up and team selection.
