Bonjour 11:46 - Jan 28 with 3909 views | Splodge | Long time message board reader, bored out of my skull at work so thought I would join up. Oh and Mont d'or cheese.
Bonjour on 11:55 - Jan 28 with 3877 views | Dorse | Howdy - welcome aboard. Nice choice on the cheese. I said Dairylea and nobody spoke to me for 6 months.

100% nailed on to possibly be available.
Bonjour on 13:52 - Jan 28 with 3541 views | BrianMcCarthy | I only just saw Mont d'Or for the first time a half an hour ago in my local supermarket. Looks lush. Is it served baked? Oh, ya, welcome aboard!

Bonjour on 14:27 - Jan 28 with 3488 views | Esox_Lucius | Welcome on board. Having seen so many people posting on their favourite cheese got me to thinking; did I ever have to declare one? If I did it has probably changed in the 5-6 years since I discovered Tesco Finest Gorgonzola Piccante which, when it was suggested to me, should be served with a lightly salted cracker and a chilled glass of Pouilly-Fuissé. I have tried mixing it up with aged Stilton and various Chardonnays but nope, the combination first suggested to me is the winner every time. The only time I have ever tasted better was when I picked up a piece from a French (yes I know) cheese fair stall in Nottingham and for no discernible reason just seemed to have a bit of extra bite to it. I am no Turophile so maybe better informed people than me on here may know the answer.

Bonjour on 18:41 - Jan 28 with 3339 views | essextaxiboy | Welcome Splodge Mont,d'or seems quite pricey . Is it Swiss? I have 2 sons in Zurich both ST holders . Everything is expensive there but maybe this is an exception . I will get them to bring some back when they can . This is a great community , all different with a common link .

Bonjour on 23:33 - Jan 28 with 3081 views | timcocking | Eh oop :-) Ps Cheese is the third best thing, behind dogs and cats (in no particular order the first two). Except Dairylea, which doesn't even count. [Post edited 28 Jan 2021 23:35]
