INXS live at Wembley Stadium 1991 currently on BBC2. Better band than I ever gave them credit for, Michael Hutchence excellent.

Not a patch on AC DC for me

And these were the headline act. The most exciting live band out there at the moment.

Another band recommended by an old mate in Adelaide.

Very Psychedelic Furs/Bunnymen/ New Order vibe going on......

A chat about Oz bands HAS to include this outfit, very popular on the current live / festival circuit like the Chats.

Last but not least, one of my favourite Aussie bands, the singer (Kyle) is a good lad for a Chelsea fan. Hoping to see them in 2020 when they release the first album.

How about these oz hits of the 60s:
Bombora, by The Atlantic's (one of the great instrumental surfing hits with its high intensity, also Reef Break and Surfs Up by the same band);
55 Days In Peking, by Rob EG (ok, may seem corny, but that smooth guitar work is something else);
Que Sera Sera/Shakin' All Over, by Normie Rowe (great double sided hit, terrific guitar work on the latter).

Strewth, that’s going back some!

I was at that INXS gig in 91 and unless I’m very much mistaken, Debbie Harry was one of the support acts; so you effectively got to see Blondie as well.

Rose Tattoo, aside from the dopey promotional pics, were a decent rock n roll outfit.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

For my 8th birthday was taken to see Frank Ifield at the London Palladium. Back in '61 that was. Brilliant.

Didn't think this lot were from anywhere other than the states, turns out they are from Melbourne.

Then there is Dojo Cuts who have the funk/soul thing so tight they just have to be from the Yew Ess Ay. Er no, from Oz
