Met up with Richard Powell from the Forest of Dean who has been an exile fan for 64 years!
Richard emailed me as he was thankful for the videos that keep him in touch and wanted to share some stories and some photos of Stanley Matthews and Morty that he had.
I met up with him in the Corner Flag I was fascinated by his email. I would love to do more of these with fans if you folks are interested?

Me too, good vid Lee, love the elders of our football community and the stories they regale. The fella met the legends of your club, respect.
Spell_chekker: yes that Morty photo was amazing! Glad you enjoyed it would be interested in doing more fan interviews. This was a bit impromptu as Richard wasnt really meeting to do a full interview but he warmed to the idea as we were chatting
Totally agree Hulk Hogan love the "old boys" tales would like to do lots more tbh. It's great to hear the old stories and to speak to someone who actually met Matthews and Morty! it's rather humbling

And on a side note, always amazes me how many views a vid gets on youtube compared to the amount of likes ( or dislikes) it gets, surely if you watch something, it has entertained you for however long, then just click the like button, its the least they deserve, takes alot of effort to make them. Subscribers and likes, really builds a channel and makes it grow. Just a simple click people !

That would be amazing to visit the Olympic stadium I've never been and Jane would be super excited she only has 2 grounds left to visit
1. Is yours 2. Is Spurs new ground
Dont know when we could fit it in? It's pretty relentless at the moment with games
And Amen to the likes and subscribers its incredibly hard to build it but I need to, there is so much great stuff I am going to bring to these guys if I can just build it up and get the time to bring them.

Actually thinking about it Hulk_Hogan you will probably have a Sunday or Monday night game sometime that would be do-able if there is anything coming up?

How about the Gooners game, Dec 9th, ill sort the tickets, and a room in the travelodge right next door for you guys, bring your own binoculars if you want to see anything, seriously our seats are that far away from the pitch.

Wow that would be a great game wouldn't it (shame it's so far away from the pitch especially when the Boleyn/Upton Park was so close and intimidating). I could do that one (would be amazing) I will check with Jane as it's a monday night.
Are you sure? it's a very kind offer I must say. Do you have a youtube channel Hulk?

Wow that’s an amazing offer and I’m happy to snap your hand off Hulk - thank you so much! Will be great to get one step closer to that ever-elusive 92 as well. That Monday looks good to me ðŸ˜ðŸ‘. Thank you!

Ill get it sorted then, be good to have you down for the game, we all just same footy fans that happen to dress up in different colours !
Youtube is way too much hardwork for me, made a couple of vids over the years, took ages to get them even half decent.
My vicar tea party one, still makes me giggle.
Funny storie about the vicors teaparty vid, I started to give Karl the run around, contacted the club, was keen to invest, advertise and was looking at how best and in what way I could link in, got Karly boy hooked soon enough, gave him a load of flannel, next day, told him I wasnt available until 10pm to talk further. He rung me on the do from his mobile, I then sent him a link to that video, and a summary of my thoughts about his behaviour.
He texted me back, saying he was going to find out who I was, and I had just made the biggest mistake of my life, and he was going to make sure I regretted it. !

Yeah 100% a Hammer for my sins, don't really get a choice what team you are born into. Did grow up in Shepherds Bush though, 2 streets behind South Africa road, the floodlights from Loftus road lit my bedroom up when they were on, so very much QPR is my second team (is that allowed) I love that ground, the stands are almost on the pitch. And legendary boozers on all 4 corners of the ground, Stan Bowles if mith is to believed used to have a drink in all four as a pre match routine, having met him a few times, I would guess its true.
Got me a thinking about the Boleyn, we had seats in the Bobby Moore stand, mine was 2 in from the right hand post 4 rows from the back of the stand, every game there was a sweepstake run, £ a piece, nominate a player, and if you caught the ball from a shot of his you was in the money, normally like 500 odd runners, half went to charity, some mad rules applied as well, 5 second rule where you got a bonus if you could keep hold of it, the winner also got to keep the match ball, signed by all the players, #### I miss them days.

Do you guys still play games like that in the stands, think I'm still quite fortunate in the fact I know most faces in the seats around me, but the atmosphere is nowhere like it used to be.

Those sounded such great days such a shame you have ended up in a magnificent athletics stadium which should have stayed one. You maybe could have used it temporarily until you had a redeveloped or new football stadium.
But the money deals etc for West Ham I would imagine made it impossible to miss?
I must admit I am intrigued to see for myself how bad it is!
What a great game can't recall anything like that at Blolmfield Road?

Hulk - Love the video and the stories! Back in the South Paddock (under Nigel Worthington, I think, when the football was REALLY dull) we had to find other ways to entertain ourselves during matches. It was mainly football trivia and quizzes. Things like if the opposition keeper was called Walter then we had to think of as many other footballing Walters as we could. It kept us amused (and awake!) anyway. We’ll have to bring these games back if the football remains as uninspiring as it is at present! Meanwhile I’ll happily grab any opportunity to go on non-BFC footballing adventures. Look forward to meeting you and hearing more of your stories.

A very generous offer from Hulk.
He's recognised on here as being not only a true footy fan but also a top poster.
Late 70's, early 80's we use to bet amongst ourselves on the last goalscorer, last player to touch the ball and what colour top/coat will the first person arrested/ejected be wearing.

As a small consolation to you Hulk.
When Sheffield United played way against us at Bloomfiel Road, I was a member of a gang that overturned a care full of Sheff U fans on its roof when it stopped at the traffic lights of Bloomfield Road and Central Drive.
When they staggered out of the car, we battered them, and then ran off.
It's not something I'd do or condone now but at my age and at the time it was different.

Pssst! (A nod's as good as a wink) We can keep her out of there Hulk so long as there is a pub that sells real ale? 😂😂😂
