Been to quite a few of them over the last four years,once you have seen one Greek ruin/archaeological site the rest are similar. Prices are well over the top and I dont think they really like the English. Usually get guaranteed sun in the holiday months and the salads are the only positives over Spain or Portugal.

If you find an unusual region of Spain / Portugal it can be a wonderful experience.
Remainers would obviously prefer a weekend in Whitby.

Spill the beans Red, I was going to suggest it to mrs spudgun...
Not been in years, but was a really good w/end, drink, food, bands also had friends who ran stalls selling clothes and/or jewellery. Think festival but in a town. (Another good one was the Blues festival in Colne). You can just dip in & out of stuff.
I'm sure it use to be later than April though. Think the organisers ran into financial problems a few years ago, however it returned and I'm sure it's expanded to include the Victorian/Steampunk festival as well. (I might be getting my Festivals mixed up).
