I don't understand the speculation that has linked us with Adam Matthews from Sunderland, Adam Maher from AZ Alkmaar and Liam Kelly from Livingstone.
Matthews is a RB where we have Furlong, Rangel and Kakay
Maher is a midfielder where, even if Freeman goes, we're not short of options.
Kelly is a keeper. We have Lumley, Ingram and Dieng, unless the latter goes to Glasgow Rangers. |  |

I'm a little wary of Stoke now. The signings maybe don't scan impressively but they're all specialist types signed purposefully by a coach with a very defined system. Wing back centric, ball playing CBs, high press, all quite reminiscent of Sheff U and Wilder last season. |

I think Stoke will do very well this season. IMO, the best time to play them will be first up when they’ll have players bedding in.

Yes definitely, seemed an obviously worthwhile punt in our predicament.
Pre-Barbet I would have said the same about Tom Lockyer who they also snapped up on a free today, and now I think of it the young striker Bonne from Leyton Orient they bought the other week. Three for three, good for them.

Looks like we are getting Amos (Spurs) and Matt Smith (Man City) . 2 midfielders. Replacements for Freeman & Luongo? If they make the same impact for us that Derby got from Mount and Wilson, then we'll be very happy.

If we get Amos and Smith, even if (when) Freeman and Luongo go, I'm not sure it is someone we need.

What slightly worries me is that if we are messing about getting the Smith and Amos loans tied up we could miss our priority which is strikers.
