Love Rod Stewart. Did you see him at Bloomfield Road?
No not at BR. About 4 years ago I think Jane and I can’t for the life of me remember why not, think I must have been away on hol.
But I do remember that T. Rex, Raw Ramp was K8 on the jukebox in Diamond Lil's bar on the pleasure beach! Now that’s impressive eh? 🤪🤪 and you served your own beer out of a beer machine for 10p a half pint shot

Haven’t heard the Prince Charles preference for the goons before spell check but bet he isn’t planning to have it played at his funeral as I do! Not for a while I hope!

Wow Fred does that not remind you of this 😃. Love it by the way ðŸ‘
You’re right it does Jane, same passion in the voice and delivery, very similar, both a really good listen. I’ll revisit the Ellie Robinson song again, thanks, Fred

Fred - That half pint dispenser at Diamond Lil's. Did you just open your mouth and put your head under it like the Paul Gascoigne dentist chair routine?

Learning to read clusters is not something your eyes do naturally. It takes constant practice.

spell chekker you could dispense a measure straight into your mouth if you leaned back over the bench seating but not really recommended I have to say! It did get a bit dodgy in there at night when the punters and the locals all got wasted. I suppose you would call it it a Sports Bar now 😂

Phil Lynott wrote this for his daughter. Didn’t he marry Leslie Crowther’s daughter

Jane
Yes he did. Saw an interview with LC years ago, he was in bits about Phil's death, seems he was very fond of him.
Also John Sykes use to play in a band called Streetfighter at Jenks. Was a guitarist in their final line up, before they split up.

John Sykes went from Streetfighter - Tygers Of Pan Tang, - Thin Lizzy - Whitesnake - Blue Murder, Sort of lost track a bit after that.

There was a band apparently that played at Jenks called Sad Cafe they had a hit song
Just googled them - sure I’ve heard this before 🤔
Manchester band Sad Cafe, they had a few minor hits, saw them at the Guild Hall Preston, late 70's/early 80's. Pretty sure they played on Top Of The Pops as well.
