Trust Members Facebook page 07:07 - Apr 12 with 15640 views | marchamjack | The Trust put up a thread on their Communications inviting comments. I posted 4/5 days ago saying the Members only facebook group wasnt a good thing/too insular/the Trust lacking in any social media prescence on twitter/ need to get the Trust message (whatever it is...) out there far better etc. Expected some response, comments...nothing...on the Communications thread...I'd laugh at the irony if it wasn't serious. If there's ever a re-vote, based on the fb group, sadly, I expect nothing other than the Members to vote to remain in with the Yanks.

Why don't some of you do nothing but complain and run the trust down actually do something useful. Join the Trust get elected to the committee, do some work instead of the easy option to moan, moan and moan again.

Why don't some of those who put themselves forwards for election, get elected, actually do something? Especially those who sit on one of the Trust sub-groups (volunteer to do so), set up to deal with a specific issue (in this case Comms) actually communicate? How novel would that be eh.

What happens if you're a member of the Trust and you're not on Facebook? Is this mentioned in the T&Cs when joining? It's a crazy idea. They have their own website. Why not develop that?

It’s obviously important because when they get down to 12 members this time next year the silly c*nts can talk to themselves.

Trust Members Facebook page on 08:26 - Apr 13 with 8533 views | STID2017 | Why would they use Facebook when they have their own website ? They could have a forum on that page, either open to all or restricted to members if they so wished ? Seems to me like instead of using a tool the majority of members can access, they are going for a tool that less people acces. Strange

Exactly. No need to add me to this "members" group. I've had enough of receiving emails off them aswell, I may be a paid up member but I no longer consider myself one. Take me off mailing list. No offence intended to Andrew and Lisa, both I am sure are trying to do good things with the Trust, but it's FUBAR

A private facebook group is for people with the same opinions as the Trusts senior officers, they don't want people on it that are likely to rock the boat, a closed shop if you like, its obvious. The Untouchables.

A bit like a dictatorship then ? Maybe they should be the trust for CSKS Moscow ?

Trust Members Facebook page on 10:26 - Apr 13 with 8421 views | Jackfath | My point still stands; If this is the main vehicle the Trust are choosing to communicate with their membership, why aren't prospective members told prior to joining that they will also need to be a member of facebook? It's quite amazing as the gent who has pushed this came on here to list the things he has done since joining the Trust and was given the seal of approval by the majority on here. He choose to ignore the above point when it was politely made at the time. This situation is completely avoidable. However they have chosen to move in this direction. I'd like some members of the board to explain why.
