he's actually not too dissimilar to Wilf.

plays well with his back to the goal, instinctive finisher, brings players into the attack.

he thrived at Bilbao under Bielsa, so he's clearly not a "slow" player, even if he's a little past his prime.

Didn't he score an absolute screamer against united in the champions league once? I'm sure it was him

He's always been a poor mans Zlatan Ibrahimovic.. With that silky smoothness about him.

It's actually nice to be linked to a few players.

Not 100% sure with Llorente, was a massive fan years back, getting on a bit now though and goals seem to have dried up, maybe a new team and country will do the trick.

No pleasing a few on here fair play...He is a target man just like Ibra Luca Toni Mario Gomez etc age wont effect his style...While on the subject of a target man wake up and smell the coffee... Wilf will never come back.

Nope, he's back at Sevilla now. Gets around a bit, fair play.

Now he's signed for Abergavenny Thursdays.

Very happy with this if true.

His wages can't be more than what Gomis is on.

I honestly don't think i've ever disliked a swansea player as much as Gomis.

An interesting one this. Got a hell of a pedigree but struggled a bit last season. Given the right service however there's no doubt he's got the ability to score 15-20 goals next season.

Could be good.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Sounds almost too good to be true.

Would be an outstanding target man for the wingers and could potentially form a great partnership with Gylfi as he's excellent with his back to goal.

I think this is a done deal.. didn't Huw state a few years back that he was a big fan of Llorente?.. and was going to purchase him for our Europa League adventure.. but he signed for Juve, and we brought in Bony instead.

Llorente
Gylfi
Ayew
and either Routledge, Dyer, Montero, Barrow as our attacking options..

£5.85 million, good bit of business if true. Think he'd do really well with with players like Montero, Barrow, Routledge and Sigurdsson providing him service. I think him, and another younger, quicker alternative striker (possibly Jonathan Kodjia from Bristol City to throw a name out there) would be ideal.

Routledge, Dyer and Barrow best start having crossing lessons.

Have a sneaking suspicion that this might mean Ayew is on his way - could be wrong but don't really see him and Llorente fitting into the same team.

We still need another striker at 31 cant see him lasting 90 mins in many games.
I have a feeling Ayew will be off as well.
Chadli would be my first pick cant see it though.

I was just thinking exactly the same thing. Tough to see where Ayew slots in if we are going for a 4-3-3...especially if he can fetch a high price at the moment. Not counting chickens on this one just yet though.

Was a top drawer player a couple of seasons ago but can't see him lasting a whole premier league season so we would need another similar player if this comes off.

Agree that I can't see ayew staying as that would be a strong indication of how we will be trying to play. but I expected that he would be looking for a move.
