Without the PC mob crying racist, i always get concerned signing Africans due to some of the countries having corrupt certificate issuing departments.

It is long since accepted that some of these players have a real age and a footballing age. If someone who is 30 next year anyway in terms of footballing age, i really wouldn't want to shell out £7m for someone actually in their mid thirties.

Im not suggesting Cisse is a part of this "movement" but Newcastle aren't strangers to buying these sorts of players i.e Obafemi Martins.

Is she a striker too then? Maybe we can sign both.

No, but she does a nice cup of tea.

We could sell her on to Wigan for £5.00 in 12 months time to replace Brenda.

Indeed so

There's no way Bony is 26 & i have heard I am not the only one thinking that in this city.

Why would they want to swap a proven PL scorer for Gomis who still has a question mark over him?

Maybe it's because he's injured a lot.

It is no coincidence that these africans look like world beaters in their age groups, peak at "23,24,25" and then end up scrabbling around trying to find a club come "29".

Apparently Taribo West was well into his fifties when he retired and his reasoning for his wacky green hair was to remain a youthful appearance when his hair was receding!

The fact he was playing well at Inter Milan and World Cups to then trying to make a career at Plymouth still at a "decent age" tells you all you need to know.

Was reading about Freddy Adu the other day, seems he is another.

I think it is more an issue with Nigerians and Ghanians traditionally but Western Africa as a whole isn't the bastion for non corrupt governments and legal departments. I think you can get your own death certificate for a couple of hundred dollars.

So Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Cameroon id be a little wary of. Im undecided on Wilf, almost impossible to say someone is 5 years older than what they are just by sight. I mean, its not that much, i look pretty much the same as I did 5 years ago. But in terms of being a top performing athlete, 5 years is half a career.

I think he's fantastic, but he's either hot or cold, in comparison to a player like Bony who is consistent with a goal almost every week. Cisse will often go on an amazing scoring run, then when his next goal will arrive will be anyones guess.

Jesus Christ how can anyone even suggest he is 17?!

Rigobert Song is the same, here he is supposed to be 28 (same age as Michu for example).

Is that picture 10 years old? His age is given as 38 at the moment. Seems to have been around for ever.

Lazio have threatened legal action against those who have questioned the legitimacy of the age of their 17-year-old Cameroonian player Joseph Minala.
The Italian side stated that his birth certificate is "absolutely legitimate"

In other news, Lazio claim they have never been a corrupt club and will take legal action against anyone who says they have (but will offer a brown envelope to resolve matters)

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

Roger Milla didn't need a bus pass - he was King of the Road.
