Staying in existence while competing with a club from near Heywood who have that much money they can even afford new sofa's and a playing surface to die for

covered above

surviving and competing in League 2 is amazing in itself given whats happened in recent times ( Stockport - Darlo )

all the above and paid every penny of every invoice not 10p for every pound.

For the future - More of the same with more promtions ( and relegations ) between third and fourth tier of football.

The aim to become stable and viewed by the wider footballing world as a league 1 outfit would be amazing.

we are lucky to have what we have - its an exclusive club being a Daley!!.

I've probably missed a few out, but in 1987, if someone had asked 1000 people to compile a list of over 20 clubs that would be relegated into non-league, I guarantee that Rochdale would have been on a 1000 lists.

Scoring a consolation goal in injury time at our bucket friends ground which meant they missed promotion by one goal

The worm of time turns not for the cuckoo of circumstance.

Bradford Park Avenue, Darwen, Ashington, Gateshead, Barrow, Workington, New Brighton, Wigan Borough and who could ever forget the visits to Holiday Park to face Durham City.

If staying in business is a sporting achievement then there's a lot wrong with modern day Soccer. Our best achievement should be something that people come to watch, therefore IMHO our League One campaign of three years ago. Doing the double over Southampton. Being undefeated against League winners Brighton - including a bloody good final day draw against them. It was a great season and a joy to be a Dale fan.

It's always good to know we don't overspend in pursuit of success. The fact we can do this and ignore the likes of Notts County as they revel in winning a league title the way they did is not something to be underestimated. As a club, we should be immensely proud. We do things right, the whole Football League should use Dale as an example to other clubs when they think of collecting players.

Add Southport to that list. When it comes to cup competitions would Leeds United be our biggest scalp ( Taking into account the size of the club).

It certainly was, although none of that would have been possible without staying in business.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
