Laudrup out? on 15:45 - Feb 1 by jamiewales | Yes for me, cant do any harm surely? |
Think it could do a lot of harm, if the wrong bloke is appointed. Quick questions to all who say yes. Who would you appoint instead? We could never adapt to a Pullis/ Allardyce type manager between now and the end of the season. We don't have the physical players capable of playing that style. Do you bring in a Sousa type manager and try and defend, while nicking a goal to the end of the season? If we go down, I'll be upset, but I'll still be watching the Swans at home and sometimes away. If we did a Wolves and went straight through, I'll still be watching the Swans at home and sometimes away. Personally, I think we will have enough points to stay up. Roll the dice and see where they land. At least I'm happy that if we do get relegated, there won't be the same effect on the club, that our last relegation from the top flight caused. Perspective ladies and gents. But, between now and the end of the season, we can sing, cheer and support the lads. Try and lift them to give their all. Show the players we are passionate and want to be in the PL

Thank you Dewi1jack. Firstly, I am worried about the team selection today considering our "position" and what is/was "needed". BUT if anyone thinks ML thinks he can do well in the Europa League, preside over relegation from the BPL and move on to a "good" job is barking mad. He has to keep us up for his own progression, so those of you who view his tenure as purely a vehicle of his advancement are nuts to think he is not interested in keeping us afloat. We have just been through a heinous set of fixtures and at the other end he has made a poor/bad ( very bad?) judgement call/experiment. He may be one of the best ever players of a generation but he is only human and a rookie manager in a league in which he never played in. As has already been pointed out before now, look at the table and for the majority of us there are more than three teams worse than ourselves. Granted a run of bad luck could kill us off but you could also argue that that sort of bad luck has already happened - also, if you are a believer in good/bad luck runs then fũckall can change it so why are you moaning. Now is the time to get behind the team and let them now that we are STID, whatever happens.

Laudrup out? on 02:10 - Feb 2 with 958 views | Catullus | I wouldn't sack him, surprising as that may be. No matter what happens I don't think we could get the right person in. And even if we could, he's missed the transfer window and is stuck with a depleted and demoralised squad. There is definitely a lack of faith somewhere and possibly strangely (after all my moaning) I think Laudrup has as better chance of keeping us up than a new face. Laudrup just has to get the team motivated again. We have the talent but we lack desire.

Laudrup out? on 07:00 - Feb 2 with 915 views | Dr_Winston | There is a very worrying sense of inertia about the place at the minute with nobody having a clue how to get us going again. The return of MM should give the place a lift, but I wouldn't put it past Laudrup to bung him in upfront as he so often has in the past when he thinks that the going will get tough. Whether Laudrup is going or not Jenkins needs to get the f*ck out of the football side of the club until the time comes to pick the next boss. He has absolutely no business suggesting or signing players.

Laudrup out? on 07:18 - Feb 2 with 904 views | Liam12345 | no because the board would sign up either a young Scottish manager, an old manager who has no better experience than a team called Garden Village which i have seen on here we could be linked with or even worse a little Chinese fella who has never played football nor managed anyone before.

Laudrup out? on 08:36 - Feb 2 with 848 views | RuDeMan1970 | Yes please. This man is only taking us one way and that's down to the Championship; at which point he'll walk away with the usual bull of "the team will bounce straight back", "the quality is there" and "I'd like to thank the fans", etc; etc; etc. I believe the squad IS good enough to be at least mid-table but the spirit appears to be broken and Laudrup looks at best inept tactically and at wors completely disinterested. I honestly feel that the club could AND WOULD stay up without Laudrup - and would be OK without a recognised manager until the right man is put in place at the end of the season. Curt, Monk, Leon, Williams and others have enough nous and passion for this club to keep us up in the interim. I only see Laudrup as having a negative effect on the entire set-up at present.

WTF? If the board decide to cut short ML's tenure (I sincerely hope they don't) they would no doubt make an astute appointment as they have done in the past. Also my understanding was that ML's assistant was next in line for the poisoned chalice?

Laudrup out? on 12:28 - Feb 2 with 760 views | waynekerr55 | No - there's no one out there to replace him and do a better job. Playing devils advocate - Wigan's relegation has been quickly forgotten now hasn't it. Hence why ML probably doesn't give a f*ck about where we finish in the league.

Laudrup out? on 15:22 - Feb 1 by Magic_Michu | If he's going in the summer why don't we make the change now and get some new enthusiasm in this team and start rebuilding now? |
Because if he walks we pay nothing If we sack him we have to pay his contract up 18 months I think which will cost us close to 4 million quid a big no from me. But if we lose next week Wouldnt be surprised if we bring somebody in to work alongside him just like Fulham did with Martin Jol.

If we lose the game badly then there's going to be pain for us all, not so much about the double being done but more to do with us looking certs for relegation.
