According to the latest reports Saints have agreed a fee with the Gunners for Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and he will travel to the South Coast tomorrow for a medical, good news for Southampton supporters.
Sky Sports are reporting that Southampton have agreed a fee for the permanent transfer of Aaron Ramsdale with Arsenal.
The fee is said to be £18 million with a further £7 million payable if performance related add ons are met.
That sounds a great deal for a keeper with the experience that Ramsdale has and probably reflects the fact that Arsenal have probably reduced the fee slightly, to reflect the fact that Southampton will have to match his current £120,000 wages and Arseanl will have been keen to get that off their books.
Saints too were probably keen not to waste the remaining loan spot they have available from a Premier League club and by buying Ramsdale outright that means they could still do a deal from a Premier League club and speculation will be rife that could be James Ward Prowse or Danny Ings.
