Hasenhuttl Is Not At Home To Complacency Wednesday, 30th Jan 2019 14:48 Ralph Hasenhuttl is not getting too excited about his sides recent good form just yet, Saints might be at home to Crystal Palace but Ralph isn't at home to complacency. Saints could win three Premier League games for the first time since the end of 2015/16 season, but Ralph Hasenhuttl is not counting his chickens until they are hatched as he tries to become the first Saints manager to achieve this feat since Ronald Koeman, the fourth of the Dutchman's successors to try. Speaking ahead of the game against Crystal Palace the Austrian said. “If we win the next three games I will still be sitting here and telling you the same, that it’s not done and not finished because we know how quick things can change in the Premier League." “For sure if they are positive we make a big step forward and can bring a lot of points between us and the relegation zone. That’s the goal but it’s not easy. " “If anyone thinks that these games are easier than the games before against Everton or Leicester then I have to tell him he is wrong." “We need 100 per cent perfect game on the pitch and a crowd surrounding us that know it takes time to find the right space and maybe the one or two chances you can score. It’s about being calm and patient." “It will be a big step, that’s for sure.” “It’s a big chance,” admitted Hasenhuttl. “The next three games are very important because they are all opponents in our zone where we often speak about the six point games. If you don’t lose one it’s a big step forward and the more games you win the bigger the step can be." “We play twice at home and it’s not easy. You have more ball possession and we try to prepare your game but our core is still a good compact and balanced defence." “It is not a good option if they shoot at goal and it’s really difficult." “As balanced as the last game in defence and offensively transition and ball possession with the right space to bring them problems." “It’s not so easy because it’s a very good manager (Roy Hodgson) with a very clear plan and they showed against the big teams they are not unbalanced in any time of the game." “It will be tactically very interesting.” Saints two wins in a row have increased Saints supporters respect for Hasenhuttl and already he has become very popular, but as the Austrian says there are some tough games up ahead and now is the time to be focused and calm. A defeat in this or any game in isolation is not a disaster and we need to keep supporting the team if things arent going too well in a game. Ralph Hasenhuttl has a very thorough plan for Saints, he has worked minor miracles in what he has done in the last two months, but ultimately there is a limit to what he can do with the current squad and undoubtedly the squad still needs strengthening. But Ralph thinks the squad has enough there to get out of trouble and the sooner we do so the sooner we can start to plan for next season.
