Saints Again Slash Prices For FA Cup Tie With Crystal Palace
Friday, 11th Dec 2015 18:22

Saints are once again rewarding supporters fo their loyal support this season by slashing the prices for a cup game, this time the FA Cup 3rd round tie with Crystal Palace.

Saints are only going to be charging adults £12 to see Crystal Palace visit St Mary's in the FA Cup and will be hoping for another 31k plus crowd as was the case for the same game played in the 4th round last year and indeed the other cup ties played at St Mary's this season when prices have been reduced.

The game will be played in at 3pm on Saturday 9th January and will clash with Eastleigh's 3rd round tie with Bolton which is scheduled to be played at the same time on the same date barely 4 miles away.

Ironically that game will cost more than seeing Saints with the Spitfires charging £15 for their game against the Championship side and they will obviously be worried that they will not be able to tap into some of the Saints support that they might otherwise have been able to.

With Eastleigh's capacity around 5,000 it should not affect the St Mary's crowd too much, but it will be interesting to see if the police are willing to let both take place at the same time.

Ticket details for Saints are as follows.

Tickets will go on sale with the following criteria:
Tuesday 15th December (9am) 2015/16 Season Ticket holders
Saturday 19th December (12pm) 2015/16 Official Members
Monday 21st December (9am) General sale
Tickets are priced as follows:
£12 for adults
£7 for concessions*
£5 for under-17s
*Young adults (17-to-21s) and seniors (65-and-over)

Season Ticket holders have until 8.30am on Saturday 19th December to claim their usual seat.

Due to competition regulations, some Season Ticket holders in blocks 41, 42 and 43 will be displaced from their usual seats in order to accommodate the allocation given to Crystal Palace. The following areas will be unavailable for purchase:
Block 41
Rows A-H: seats 1059 to 1069
Rows J-P: seats 1063 to 1069
Rows Q-OO: seats 1059 to1069
Block 42
Block 43
Displaced Season Ticket holders can purchase an unoccupied seat from 9am on Tuesday 15th December, and will also have an exclusive period to purchase any unclaimed seats between 9am and 12pm on Saturday 19th December.

I can't see the local Plod agreeing on the 2 games on the same day with Palace no doubt bringing up to 5,000 and a Bolton following also coming down. And ain't the skates also at home?

I suspect the real reason they have cut the price so much, is that due to the club's recent lack of ambition in cup games over the last few seasons that many fans will have decided to adopt the same attitude. Only a cheap ticket is going to attract a half decent crowd. It will probably sound more like an home game for CP.

Feck right off, lost my seat and have to pay for this game after today's effort, we have no chance of winning a cup and will be lucky to avoid the drop zone this year, paid over a grand for me and the nippers ST, won't be fleecing me any more until I see the club buying some good players instead of keeping all the money from sales. enough is enough.
