| Forum Thread | Cifuentes Leaving the Club at 08:20 16 Dec 2024
Marti's stock has been dented a little with the start to the season, we have had, but with both Wolves and Southampton recently sacking their managers, would a relegation threatened club take a punt on Marti. To be fair, I think a lot of reading between the lines, is included in a great deal of managerial appointments. I think someone with the profile of a Cifuentes type manager, would be a better bet than a Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard profile. You can only work with the tools you have at your disposal and Cifuentes has done well considering. Appreciate it's almost certainly not going to happen, but there have definitely been much worse appointments in the premier league in recent years. |
| Forum Thread | The meaning of dreams !!! at 01:12 14 Dec 2024
Mrs Numptydumpty had a bad dream last night. I could not assert my opinions as to what the frick this dream meant. Whether Freud, Jung or Sinton can work it out for me is doubtful too. She was in a state of distress when she woke. The dream is thus : - "A dog was in distress as it was sucked up and into a massive cow by way of entry via the massive cows backside" As a grown woman this dream freaked her out and my very adult reaction was to develop hysterical laughter, which apparently represented the incorrect response !!! Before I google the meaning, any dream experts here, can help me regain favour. Currently I am considered to be acting not in the ways of a grown up !!! Whether this is some kind of subliminal message about the Bristol game this weekend, I am unaware !!! [Post edited 14 Dec 1:13]

| Forum Thread | Goal Difference and Unbeaten Runs at 10:44 12 Dec 2024
Our recent three wins have all been by two goals or more. We are now on a par, goal difference wise, with the teams immediately above us. Which could be very helpful at the end of the season So if over a period of time we get one plus more points than them, we are in 14th out of 24. So would have overtaken 10 teams in a matter of weeks!! Shows how important the unbeaten runs can be in this league. The madness of Championship football !!!@ |
| Forum Thread | IRRELEVANT People that INFLUENCE younger players and their POTENTIAL CAREER opti at 16:08 9 Dec 2024
Its a thing. Whether that's a RELATIVE / AGENT... Example, I think Chris Willock, would have wished to have stayed at QPR. Rumours his dad and his agent priced him out of QPR and subsequently his likely career more on a DOWNWARD trajectory as a result. Ie I think he wanted to succeed WITH QPR as seemingly great relationship with Marti and the squad. Example, it's been suggested by those ITK on here, Rayan Kolli's dad very vocal about Rayans lack of opportunities on here. And it peed off the powers that be. Ie decisions of selection NOT based on first team FORM SELECTION IDEALS. Similarly in the past similar issues with players we would have preferred to keep perhaps ie BOS, Manning, who were left out over protracted periods. Players that head coaches could have kept but overbearing outsiders deemed we had to say goodbye despite i would say the player themselves wanting to stay. Sometimes it's possibly just perhaps no one likes them ie BARTON or the parent influence ie am trying to understand why on earth KOLLI offered loan to Saudi, given our ever diminishing forward options. I think i am saying something. Whether its i am just bored on a damp dark and soggy Monday who knows Anyhow clearly there are strange factors at play around squad selections otherwise how else can it be explained that Anton Ferdinand s career was mainly Premier league focused !!! |
| Forum Thread | Jimmy Dunne at 18:57 7 Dec 2024
What a man !! Awful family circumstances - his dad passing away this week.. Could not have been that old ie Jimmy is mid 20s I assume. Perfectly reasonable not to play today but a man of the match performance. Not only scored - it had to be - but shortly after made a wonder challenge with a Norwich forward through on goal. Was also up against their star man and he was well controlled. Definitely deserves to be a fans favourite but that performance today, especially given his circumstances was iconic. A true Ranger. Well done Jimmy. You did your old man proud today.. Incredible.... [Post edited 7 Dec 19:00]

| Forum Thread | Madsen today at 18:35 7 Dec 2024
Noticed Madsen was a lot more pacey in chasing down today and actually won two or three decent challenges. Sometimes you have to hold your hands up to some players and say well done. They are all talented players otherwise they would not get the opportunities in this league but as young men getting shed loads of grief from fans and bearing in mind also they are all living in a foreign land out of their home environment a d comforts, it takes some guts to gradually improve when fans are getting on your back. Appreciate some will say it's the bare minimum expected but I thought he played well today and definitely credit where credit is due. Keep going sire !! |
| Forum Thread | Eze Transfer Value and likelihood of Impending Sale at 01:21 1 Dec 2024
Was quoted at £70 million this late close season. Himself and Olise were ripping up the premier league second half of last season. Eze has not done anything with England and now not in contention for international selection and is also very injury prone. His mate Olise left but Ebere was kept on by Palace. Originally I thought he could be a decent transfer for Man Utd, Spurs or Villa, but if Palace remain consistently in the lower regions of the Premier League, I can't see him leaving. Maybe being at Palace for as long as Zaha was. His value now, I would put at no more than £40 million, which would still be around £8 million for ourselves, but i can't see him being sold unless Palace fall through the trap door and enter our world in the Championship. That's how I see this. I don't think he would move abroad either. Anyone else see this happening in a different way !!! Even if he sold for lower fee, we could still use the money available to good effect.. [Post edited 1 Dec 1:22]

Four defeats in a row followed by a calamitous draw from three nil in front He is crap at managing that man and that big blond lump up front - league two link up play apparently and the old Chelsea magician in midfield lost his touch also. All soon to be looking for new opportunities !!! [Post edited 27 Nov 5:44]

| Forum Thread | The nightmare scenario at 01:38 10 Nov 2024
Christian Nourry opens his emails tomorrow morning. There is an interesting PowerPoint presentation from a man who seems to have so many contacts within the game and has a reputation based on developing young talent so totally the model that we as a club are looking for. Christian decides to press play on his data presentation package and it appears this man has even been here before and has confidently stated he has unfinished business here and it would be a dream if he could be given the opportunity. Nourry makes a confident decision as its clear this man will change our season. The mighty Mick Beale is appointed head coach and returns to West London - his spiritual home, he says. | Forum Thread | Our second choice goalkeeper recent signing at 19:12 7 Nov 2024
Sheppard signed in recent days and now substitute ahead of Walsh. The club for me should explain the reasons Otherwise it makes zero sense. Spending more money when we already have the makings of decent replacement in Joe Walsh to a decent first choice in Paul Nardi. It's wasting money for no reason |
| Forum Thread | London Clubs and those nearby in the last decade on the up !! at 23:44 6 Nov 2024
Chelsea West Ham Arsenal Spurs well they got loads money are always going to be competitive But clubs like Palace Fulham Brentford Luton all had Premier league experience, three of these four seemingly established top division clubs now. And then even as we speak clubs such as Millwall and Watford currently presiding In the Championships top six. Only really Charlton and Leyton Orient below us and Orient are traditionally a small time club. So it's only Charlton that under performed ourselves and that could possibly change too. This last decade has been awful. I think it's time for all involved to really consider their association with our club so am talking about all. Appreciate we are tough sell but am guessing there will always be the odd billionaire that wants to massage their ego and the fact we are a London club and with the knowledge that almost all London clubs have improved and stabilised at higher levels would initiate interest. Think it is time for a complete clean sweep and let's use this as the start of a new era. This recent history needs to be quickly placed in the dustbin of history. A new regime throughout is required So we have little invested in the recent dismal past. [Post edited 6 Nov 23:45]

| Forum Thread | The Effects of a Christian Nourry Fans Forum at 14:54 6 Nov 2024
So at this heralded event in the not so distant past, Nourry amongst his attempts at fan engagement at the recent fans forum, five announcements were made, which were all supposed to be progressive and something we as a fanbase could get excited about. So in no particular order. There was the announcement that Jake Clarke Salter had signed a new long term contract, however almost immediately afterwards, from a training session, it has appeared he has picked up an injury which has kept him out ever since. Funny that this mysterious twinge happened at this particular moment +!+ We also learnt that Dembele has triggered his permanent contract with ourselves, and it is for the medium to long term, whatever that is. Again almost immediately afterwards he picked up some kind of injury in training, the day before match day and again not been seen since. Wow another mysterious twinge after his long term financial secure future has been resolved. Marti and Xavi were both then unveiled as having signed very long term extensions to their contracts, meaning it's even more expensive for us to get rid of them, should we so wish. Strange that the form ever since has taken an almighty nosedive. Bizzarre Also announced was we were very fortunate to still have Ben Williams, just a year after being made Director of Performance, but that he would be working remotely from Dubai, whilst undertaking other roles for other sports clubs. Again strange that ever since nearly half of our squad and basically nearly all of them being first choice first team players, who have disappeared into the injury ether !! This could be explained by this all being extremely bad luck. However, there could also be a case of downing tools, as their new money contracts are now all set in stone nicely for all of them. Am I being a little cynical. Or are five so called improvements all going down the cul de sac route and all together is just simply a coincidence or extreme bad luck !!! It doesn't look good. Answers on a post card please !! [Post edited 6 Nov 22:05]

| Forum Thread | QPR HOME FORM FOR LAST TWO YEARS at 18:53 4 Nov 2024
So since 5th November 2022 P W D L Pts GD 45 8 13 24 37 -29 This is our home form for the last two calendar years as to today. In most seasons I generally over many years of following QPR have expected us to at least to have a fairly decent home record, even in the years of struggle. And in general like most clubs our home form is markedly better than our away form. We do have a very decent home following in recent seasons, way better than when we were much higher up the leagues or even when we have at times been in the premier league and our stadium does create a great atmosphere when the fans back the team and yet somehow these last few years, the home form has fallen off a cliff. We have had to be half decent away from home to finish where we have. So I am led to believe this form in the last two calendar years places us 92nd out of 92 football league clubs during this period. So repeating that. Our HOME FORM in LAST 2 YEARS, we are 92ND out of 92 TEAMS !!! WHY ??? [Post edited 4 Nov 18:59]

| Forum Thread | Rangers fans in bust ups with other Rangers fans at a game or elsewhere !! at 13:44 4 Nov 2024
Had a man near me couple of seasons ago, who seemed to detest every Rangers player in every match we played in and it began after only 17 seconds in, of every game until after the final whistle and beyond. Often bemused looks were exchanged from all around. The "not" amigo, would swear violently and often screaming, "That's f?*k**g shyte", with throughout the game. Occasionally upgrading his insults to the highest level. I dont mind the odd expletive ridden rant but these people don't realise how much their incessant nonsense spoils the game for others around them. If we score an incredible goal - rare, I know - but these type of people a millisecond later are moaning and groaning again. Anyhow a couple men behind this guy were fed up, hearing this match after match. Stewards had to be called in, as a few blows and the odd grapple later, they had to be ripped apart. Anyone else seen any Rangers fans take a physical dislike to each other, or players even ? Everyone understood the reasons why with this guy i have mentioned. [Post edited 4 Nov 13:47]
