How can a conversation about Harry Darling in 2025 move to the Swans Trust in 2016. The repetition is so boring & cannot be helping the site overall. You made the point numerous times and it is just derailing good conversation and debate. Back to the OP - aren't Sheffield United looking at a defender from Ipswich Town so Darling may not be heading there anytime soon? |

The Trust should be applauded for the fans forum. Lets remember in 2017 - our previous owners attended and were honest about the sale / transaction in 2016 when they were told not to engage with the Trust. It is incredible that they said this at a forum which was being recorded (and is still available on YouTube). |

The past few weeks have been incredibly challenging for fans and everyone associated with the club. Poor results, lacklustre performances and speculation surrounding approaches for our head coach and more recently our captain have had a demoralising effect, particularly among supporters. Fans are also rightly concerned that we are headed for another disappointing end to the transfer window and what knock-on effect that may have on our status as a Championship club. In short, those of us who passionately follow the club are understandably becoming increasingly frustrated, concerned and discouraged by recent events. Club Chairman Andy Coleman and the new ownership group have stressed their commitment to repairing the bond between the club and the fans, emphasising transparency and open dialogue as central to that process. In our dealings with Andy Coleman and the wider board, we have no doubt that they genuinely believe in these principles. However, despite our repeated calls for a Fans Forum over the past few months, we have been left disappointed by the lack of progress. As an organisation, we wholeheartedly believe that all fans should be given the opportunity to regularly hold decision-makers to account and scrutinise the strategy implemented by the board. That’s why we have again urged the club to fulfil their responsibility to supporters by confirming a date for a Fans Forum – ideally as soon as possible after the end of the current transfer window that closes next Monday 3rd February. Going forward, we are calling on the club to commit to holding at least two Fans Forums every season, with those dates agreed at the start of the season and honoured without fail. Without this, many fans will justifiably conclude that the club only believes in openness and transparency when the results are going our way. If Swansea City is to be successful, we need more open communication, a clearer strategy and a willingness to provide transparency when we need it most. That way we can perhaps begin to feel that the club and the fans are once again pulling in the same direction. In the meantime, we will continue our conversations with the club and will reveal more details about a Fans Forum when we have them. And a final but really important few words from us for now. We are very aware of a number of personal attacks, vile insults and even death threats that have recently been directed towards many people involved with Swansea City, including their families. We accept and understand that scrutiny and criticism come with whatever roles we play to try and make Swansea City FC something we can all be proud of. Passions are obviously running high at present and sometimes we may not get it right. But to hear and receive some of what has come into the club and the Trust over the past few days is unacceptable, will not be tolerated and has absolutely no place in society. |

A reminder on Premier League clubs - most will only loan out players at the end of the window if the Championship clubs are competitive /pushing for promotion-play-offs. Steve Cooper did well to get Connor Gallager from Chelsea via Charlton in 2021. Our poor results in the last three weeks will put off a lot of clubs who may have planned to loan to us. |

Don't focus on Jenkins and Dineen. The real power was with Martin M. |

He should write a book about his exit in January 2019 vs Kaplan & Levien. |

Swansea were never once linked to Toney so the post is pointless. And hindsight is such a wonderful thing. Maybe Jenkins should have signed Haaland when he was a 16 year old....? |

Why do you repeat the same false comments about the Trust time and time again? It is so boring. |

Martin Morgan played a much more important role than Huw Jenkins in the glory period. I expect Huw would admit that himself? And maybe watch a Jack To A King - there is a clue in the film. |

I don't care at all about Newport County we have enough problems. However perhaps both Jenkins and Coleman have both been distracted by the European / FAW project? |

The chairman admitted in his programme notes vs Sheff U that the next three games would be vital. Two defeats. What does Luke need to achieve next week at home to Frank Lampard's Coventry? |

How about the bloke who got sacked at Bolton this week? |
| Forum Reply | January Transfer Thread at 20:42 25 Jan 2025
If Coleman decides a new manager is needed in the next couple of days - surely any transfer targets will fall down - just for the fact that his time will be taken up finding a new manager? From memory Duff and Williams took time to appoint. And as we don't have a sporting director it is all on Coleman's shoulders? |
| Forum Reply | New Manager at 17:33 25 Jan 2025
Sousa played an important role during our climb. He made us defensively stronger and I remember he got us wins at grounds where we traditionally struggled (Derby, Palace etc). Sousa was far better than Bradley and Carlos and Duff. |

I just can't see how the club can afford to pay off our management team. & I would imagine we would have to pay compensation (again) to get the new manager. I cannot think of any strong candidates who are out of work. |
