I don't think anyone would claim it's the fault of one person and I think many would be perfectly glad to see the back of several people that have had a hand in this absolute sh!t show. It couldn't be more obvious that changes need to be made. Serious ones. I don't know how low we would have to stoop for that to be more apparent. Given the 'Sports minded CEO' has signed off on this playing squad, it feels natural to start there, especially given his (at best) dubious career story and lack of experience. What's the alternative? Hope that a difference coach can cover up the chasms better? Then try another and another and another? |

Why are you so keen to defend the club's actions? Are you pleased with what you're watching? Do you think Celar is good enough to be 50% of out strike force? Are you happy with how our midfield is performing? Is Madsen doing enough for you? Or do you think all of those things are all Marti's fault after he revolutionised our form last year after 18 months of literally surrendering on pretty much a game by game basis? |

Yeah you definitely missed a third (and most likely) outcome from your list there Dave. Honestly if anyone at QPR tries to make Cifuentes the fall guy for this I will feel unlike I have ever felt about QPR. It would be the most ridiculous and pronounced mistake by a club that has made making mistakes completely routine. I honestly think this could get completely toxic. If they can Marti and replace him with someone that does no better (dare I say worse?), the vitriol will boil over. From the people that brought you Ramsey, McLaren, Beale, Critchley and Ainsworth as managers... you can absolutely see it coming. |

Any chance of some context for those of us that don't subject ourselves to the toxic cesspit of social media? |

How the hell do they expect to win any games by being so loose-lipped with their injury news? What absolute mad men they must be!! Every other club up there must be rubbing their hands together now they know precisely how to best them. What’s next? Are they going to start divulging their players contract lengths or whether their signings are actually Dundee players?! Maybe let their manager do an interview? It’s absolutely lawless up there! |

I'm not sure this is entirely true as people are led to believe. Hoos harped on for years about how crap Loftus Road is and how little money we make making it impossible to compete financially but when you compare our turnover to others around us I wouldn't say it's quite as bleak as people assume. The reason I cite turnover rather than P&L is because your turnover creates your budget (outside of player sales). The more you make from match days, broadcasting and commercially, the more you're allowed to spend and stay within the P&S three year limit. Player sales aren't included in these figures so whilst clubs' might technically have been able to spend more, it's only because they made more (or any) money from transfers in than QPR... which is kind of our fault and to their credit. Take the 2023 accounts for example: Every one of those clubs with lower turnovers finished above us. Luton won the playoffs. Cardiff the only club that finished below us. Reading, Blackpool and Wigan went down. Rotherham, and Huddersfield finished above us too. Without checking I'm pretty certain every one of those will have had a lower turnover than us. In terms of match day income we're at worst in the middle of this pack: Cardiff, Stoke, Preston and Swansea all play in 'new' grounds - relatively - yet make less out of match days than we do. Granted there will be other clubs in the division with parachute payments and much higher turnovers who we rightly can't compete with financially. But I really don't think we're the paupers that we've made ourselves out to be at times, largely led my Hoos. The simple fact is there are almost always 6-10 clubs that get more out of their turnovers than we do and a lot of them have less money to play with than we do. As Lassel says, other clubs have found significant investment over the last few years. Birmingham as an example don't appear to ben a better proposition than us in terms of what they could invest and be compliant with P&S rules. In short, there's nothing us holding us back from at least competing with these types / sizes of clubs other than years and years of failed recruitment and failed manager choices. |

This just gets scarier and scarier. Their propensity to be seduced by an outside influence to such a scale that they offer him the most important role in the club is one thing (and utterly believable) but I've always assumed that person at least would have been able to demonstrate a competence of some form. It feels like they've fallen into the Beale powerpoint trap once again, this time with a bigger bullshitter in a bigger role. They believed a recruitment consultant with a couple of years of experience and two failed 'businesses' could run a professional football club. This didn't just smell fishy from the off, it smelt like a docker's gooch after a 24 hour shift. And even then they couldn't see through it. This has to be a crisis point which provokes wholesale change, surely? It's like starting to see through an addict's lies and cover-ups. They're desperate and incompetent beyond all feared measure. The definition of not fit, nor proper custodians. All they do is write checks and let people take advantage of them. I've no idea what happens from here but it feels like it's about to cut up very, very rough. |

Oh we're playing on the shampoo thing early doors this time. Shall we just skip to the part where you tell me how many people message you telling you how much they love your 'content'? Then something to do with knitting probably. Suggest that I don't read as much as you do so I must be thick? Then excusing all the irrelevant bollocks by shouting the word O P I N I O N S and telling us all this place would be inane without all of yours? There you go I've done it all for you. You're welcome. |

I wouldn’t try to make sense of it. There was a thread on Tuesday after one of the most horrific home performances of my Middle Aged life about how annoying it is that season tickets get included with the announced attendance. Like having a peak in Jeffrey Dahmer’s fridge and whinging there’s no milk. At least we know what happened to Oli’s tombola. |

To what end? As in literally... How does it end? We find some other magician who can somehow pick us up from an even lower ebb than this time last year to battle and scrap to avoid relegation once more... Then what? What happens to the squad, the comms, the ground, the dev team, the manager, the contracts? They'll all still be fluffed, bungled and clattered into a drain hole full of sh!t. So next November we're back here ad nauseam. You can't just keep cycling through a conveyor belt of coaches until you find the next son of God that somehow changes the short and long term fortunes on a club that's essentially in a self induced coma. Quite frankly I'm getting to the point where I don't really care if we go down or stay up and I don't really care who the coach is either. But having one that has actually once upon a time coaxed some life out of a club that has been beyond flaccid for just short of a light year suggests to me that you may as well stick with him. |

If you have a leaky roof that lets water in and damages the carpet, what do you fix? The carpet or the roof? I am absolutely flabbergasted that anyone could look at what is - I would say - the biggest clusterfvck of all QPR historical clusterfvcks that is this season / squad and surmise that the manager is the thing that needs to change in order to fix it. A manager who finally got a tune out of a group of players that hadn't performed for their previous three managers last season. There really isn't a man alive that could take the current squad with all its injuries and issues and get us playing well enough to survive relegation. And if that man does exist I really don't think he'll pitch up cap in hand on South Africa Road. a fvcking 442 instead of a 433 won't fix this mess. we could play an 888 and get beat 4-0. This group of owners have allowed themselves to be financially extorted by an embarrassing amount of managers, agents, players, coaches, scouts, performance analysts, data analysts, the whole fvcking lot. They have allowed it again and again, over and over. They trusted Mark Hughes, Harry Redknapp and Kia Joorabchian. They bought what Michael Beale was selling. And now, here we all are, swallowing the impact of them being chatted up by a 26 year old charlatan to the tune of handing him the keys to the fvcking bank account, the fvcking recruitment and the fvcking dressing room. Look... It's done now. They've fvcked it. It's over. And they've fvcked it so badly that not only is the squad in complete and total disarray indefinitely but you have some pretty serious contempt between the club and the fans by way of drying up all communication lines. This is how I would run Chelsea if afforded the opportunity. The running of this club since the end of last year has been so bad I believe we could genuinely start to wonder whether there's a serious attempt being made to tear it down from within. These people cannot make the right decision. They're incapable. At least from a football club perspective. It's been a decade. A fvcking decade of trusting crooks and being sold dreams by people that have no ability to supply them. A fvcking decade handing over money again and again and again to people that have actively designed systems by which to get it. Over and over and fvcking over. And at time we've been expected to be grateful and sympathetic that they've been prepared to do it. A fvcking decade of a losing culture with absolutely no relent. League One won't fix us. It'll be the same bollocks by a different degree. These people have to step aside, get out of their own way and out of our way. They may be generous but what's the point in generosity when it all goes into black fvcking markets? Marti may not be the most magnificent shagpile but I'm telling you now he's one of the more positive things that we've managed to luck ourselves into within this fvcking abominable decade. Treat the cancer at the top of this fvcking club because until you do everthing within it will erode and debase and suffer and bleed and it won't fvcking stop. |

We're just going to assume they haven't offered that or something similar? |
| Forum Reply | QPR Vs Sunderland pre match chat at 14:11 1 Nov 2024
In which case I think Celar will get a hat trick, Madsen will play like Patrick Vieira and Sunderland won't ever get the ball over the half way line on the way to a 9-0 Rangers demolition. Why haven't we thought of this before?! |
| Forum Reply | Kolli Dad Interview at 14:07 1 Nov 2024
I didn't realise all those other lads were in the first team photo to be honest. There is something in that. My speculation would be as mentioned above; he's been offered dev-squad level terms and they're asking for first team level terms. QPR's reaction to what they perceive to be a bit cheeky is to treat him like a Dev Squad player until he's on extended terms. So leaving him out of the first team squad is in some ways a bargaining technique. It's pretty tough to condone petty actions like that by the club and certainly doesn't really shine as a beacon of solidarity within the dressing room... But at the same time I don't think Kolli has done a single thing to warrant first team wages and / or a long deal. He still has everything to prove. |

Thank goodness our football club isn't falling foul of this issue! |
| Forum Reply | QPR Vs Sunderland pre match chat at 11:54 1 Nov 2024
I get what you're saying Dave but we've actually only scored the first goal three times this season. We've never got the second goal. We've only held the lead after those opening goals for 44 minutes combined all season. From those three games we've amassed the grand total of one point. Not convinced at all that if we somehow get ahead it'll make any difference to the result. |
| Forum Reply | Kolli Dad Interview at 10:45 1 Nov 2024
Equally fair. I find it a bit mystifying why there's so much chatter about the Kolli situation. It's not like he's ever shown anything to be excited about like Armstrong did when he burst into the first team. I think you're probably right in that the Kolli situation gets sensationalised because people feel they're in the dark about everything. Anything mundane but labelled confidential can inherently feel negative and invites theories of conspiracy, especially when it suddenly starts happening with regularity which clearly hasn't been considered. It's almost like we have a ludicrously inexperienced CEO at the head of the club or something. |
| Forum Reply | Kolli Dad Interview at 10:30 1 Nov 2024
But clearly they were resigned to losing him at that point. The difference here could be that Kolli (or his reps) are asking for big money because he's 'a first team player' but aren't indicating he wants to leave. Until it gets to the point where he makes it clear he'll never sign a contract - as I'm sure Conway did - I'm not sure what the club can announce publicly. Similar situation to Willock in the summer. We all had plenty to say about the Haamalainen and Kakay contracts that were dished out so there's an element of positivity in us not making the same mistake again with Kolli, especially since he's shown so little in the limited chances he's had at first team level so far. |

More probable than possible? What on earth have you been smoking Nump? SkyBet have us at 13/5. Quite astounding for a home league win. Nowhere near long enough to tempt me though. You ought to get your mortgage on it at those prices mate! [Post edited 1 Nov 9:59]
